Remarks

The college is a good college to study in for this course. The teachers are good and so is the crowd. Only problem is that the campus is small.

Entrance Preview

NCHMCT entrance exam. It has multiple choice questions regarding general knowledge, Math, science, and current affairs. I had secured a 469th rank in the all India exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

There are 7 subjects in the beginning. They are food production, bakery, house keeping, hotel engineering, front office and nutrition. The subjects are easy and simple to understand.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it does. There is industrial training in the 2nd year and there are campus placements at the end.

Placement Experience

3.5

Many big hotels such as the Taj, JW Marriott, etc come for campus selections. Almost all the students receive campus selections and are placed in good positions with a good pay too. The growth might be slow. There are also other companies such as McDonalds, KFC, etc that come for the campus selections.

College Events

4

There are many events in our college like the theme lunch. Celebrations of various festivals like onam and Dushera. Many students come together and make these events possible which include cultural programs like dances and songs and making for the festival food.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very Feasible. Each semester ranges from 35000 to a max of 45000 which in my case is an alright fees. Other colleges have a much higher fee structure and compared to them this college especially being a central government college has a feasible fee structure.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I'm not sure about this as I haven't applied for any scholarships or loans. But there are educational loans that can be taken for this course.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good as the crowd that come here is good. There are many extracurricular activities in college and the labs are very fun and inventive. There is an annual sports day too. There are many cooking competitions held and the college also participates in other college events.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel is alright but a little far from the college. The food in the hostel is also fine and both veg and non veg is served during the week. The hostel is strict too. The mess food is good and tasty. It has different items and therefore there is somet

Alumni/Alumna

I'm not sure as I have just started my course and am not in touch with any alumni students. But according to my seniors. Some of them are very helpful.

Exam Structure

The entrance exam structure us very easy. It is completely multiple choice questions on subjects like general knowledge, current affairs, math, science and English. The pattern is easy and the subjects are also easy. In the college the exams are written.

Faculty

4.5

The teachers are some of the best in India. They teach well and have lot of experiences. These teachers all have a good degree and aot of experience. Some of them are being called to other colleges but refuse to leave. The faculty is very helpful and can

Since it is an autonomous College there's no affiliation to any other college and their curriculum is quite good. Starting from the basic to complex understanding level. This course mostly is based for studying purpose rather than work ready. There's test every week to test yourself.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell, where you can get the details on the meeting and the companies that would come to place students. You can be in placement cells, you will get all the details. If you do well, it's definite that yoh will be placed. I am not aware of the offers but Goldman Sachs had visited recently. Highest package was 15LPA and Lowest was 5LPA. Around 60% get placed here. My plan is to do masters in my interested subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The University has many options for the BSc Life Sciences course. I chose Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Chemistry. Such flexible options aren't available that frequently anywhere else in Karnataka. I was also allowed to check out the campus, labs, and classrooms, and also interact with a few professors before my admission. There is an additional option of choosing elective subjects in the final year too. The choice of subjects is broad, ranging from maths, physics, multimedia applications, immunology, recombinant DNA technology, and many more. Students maintaining 80% throughout can also choose to do a dissertation instead of one subject. The faculty for biosciences is one of the best I have come across. They are extremely friendly and indulging and always encourage you to participate in extracurricular activities as well. The exams were conducted at the end of each semester, around May-June for odd semesters and Oct-Nov for even semesters. They aren't that difficult.

I choose this course because I was interested in statistics and I wanted to study further and get job in this field. The faculty to students ratio was 1:10 the teachers cared about students alot, they gave many futuristic ideas for students. Lectures had qualifications of PHD and masters in the subject. The exams were conducted in 1-2 months which were of medium-high level.
