I belong from commerce background. I always wanted to choose the college with best faculty and obviously little bit nearer than others under calcutta university. So, I got this one thinking many times and with the matching criteria.

Campus Life

Our college is best at this topic. They know how to celebrate each and every moment with students involving all. Year starts with freshers, then saraswati puja, then basanta utsab that is holi, then annual fest, annual sports

Admission

I applied to Manindra college, Shyambazar; Jaipuria, Gurudas But I choose my college for the distance purpose and faculty of it. First we need to apply online in their official website then put all the necessary information and obviously the results more 45% Then names were shortlisted then verification and then admission

Faculty

1. The teacher faculty is very much supportive 2. There are equally divided faculty for every departments. 3. Mostly the commerce faculty is the best. 4. Enough teachers with well behaved 5. If any students face any problem at any place, they used to clear it. 6. Exam taking process is literally better than any other. Prior notice, with enough days provided before exams.

Night Life

We have gym, computer lab, library which are open for all students. It opens with college time and ends with students departure. There is a greenery garden or lake types beside the college itself. Walking 15 mins there is park which opens after 3:00 pm.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

I choose this college because this college 5 minutes distance from bidhannagar station and my home is in Kakinada with allows me to go in one train and it takes the time about one hour to reach this college.
