St Joseph University has really good infrastructure
The faculty to student ratio is decent, ensuring good guidance

Dislikes

the sorrounding of the college is not much regulated
placements can be improved even more ensuring everyone gets placed
provide hostel facilities for girls as well just like boys

Course Curriculum Overview

The rapidly growing market for biotechnology products made me choose biotechnology, giving me a hope to find my career in this domain. the curriculum also provides real world related cases to solve and engage in live projects. the college can give emohasis on placements as well

Fees and Financial Aid

The course has all the lab fee and tution feeincluded in it. college also provides management scholarship for both academic excellence as well weaker economic segment. The college provides hostel benifit for boys within the college

Campus Life

the overall experience was great. there was equal mix of academics and extracurricular activities. there are many fest that happen like the ISIRI one of the legacy fest of kannada sangha, annual sports day and also various interdepartment fest and intercollege compititions

Admission

i applied for only st josephs university for B.Sc in Biotechnology and I got into the college after clearing the interview round. i liked the overall infrastructure and course curriculum along with other facilities like library and sports

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is decent, it is around 1:15 ensuring good interactaction and guidence from the faculty members towards students. most of the faculties are really best for starting the concept from the basic level. you should score a decent score in 12th standard post which you have to write an entrance test

Night Life

because the college doesnt provide hostel facility for girls and only for boys, the campus life is not really noticable when talking about the night life. but few events like the PRATIBHA all these are conducted till 8 pm in the college campus makig the college experience even better

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i choose is bsc because of the different subjects in this course it has electronics and computer science . The curriculum prepares me by special courses and the new ways of teaching. The methods of teaching is good but we need new ways like learning with games. The timing of exam is 3 hours for eights marks, and the difficulty is the benches are not comfortable

Peaceful College And Campus Life

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem students get eligible for campus placement, No of companies such as Cipla, infosys,accenture, TCS, wipro, Icici bank have visited our college, provide placements and 90% students get placed in reputed companies. My plan after finishing my Bsc ,i will opting for MSc Biotechnology, then a PhD.I will become a professor.

Would never recommend this college for the students who want to take a Tech Job

Course Curriculum Overview:

Now the syllabus has changed. New emerging technologies trends and subjects are introduced in new curriculum. Data science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security are now taught. Practical marks are reduced to 50 marks. Term end examinations are conducted twice in a year. Exams are not that difficult. Usually previous year questions appear in the exams.

My journey in Christ University

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Life at IISc- Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
