What Students Say

Likes

Campus is too beautiful and big. I had to use google maps to exit for 1st two weeks.
Professors are very friendly and helpful.
New buildings like AB3 and AB4 are quite nice and attractive.

Dislikes

Results are published quite late. Like result of previous semester was published during the midsems of current semester.
No bicycle facility is provided neither they allow bikes and cars inside campus
Admin block people are quite lazy and tend to irritate you.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chosed Environmental Engineering because its the upcoming branch in near future. Its gonna boom and the opportunities will be massive in this field. Also companies focus on Environmental aspects so the Need of Environmental Engineers gonna increase soon.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 1000000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are not enough through campus. Very less companies comes to provide Internship opportunities. Companies like google Microsoft do come to hire and there stipend is quite high. But it takes very few students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year Wise Fee for DTU BTech Program: 1st Year: ?2,36,000 2nd Year: ?2,56,000 3rd Year:?2,66,000 4th Year:?2,86,000 Fee for previous batch was less and was increased for 2024 batch and most probably will increase further.

Campus Life

Campus life is quite wonderful. Very green and beautiful campus DTU has. Very chill place to hangout and also many places to explore with your friends and partner. There are many student run societies and councils that help in the overall personality development of a student. Also ABVP is there to address the issues of students to the DTU administration and Vice Chancellor.

Admission

I didn't applied for any other colleges. DTU was my only choice as I didn't got into IITs and This college's placement stats are quite nice compared to other nits and government colleges. And also the campus was also a factor in chosing this college.

Faculty

In Environmental engineering there are 6 professors and 2 guest faculty and batch size is 80 students only. HOD AK HARITASH is quite strict and professional. Loveleen mam is very sweet and helpful. She is our timetable incharge and clears all the doubts regarding academics, placements, and all.

Night Life

There are many hangout places like Raj soin canteen, micmac, nescafe and dosa plaza. Night life is so cool specially in winters. You will find a lot of couples making out in dark throughout the college in night. You can also stay in hostels if you are a dayscholar, no one checks. Outside college area is NOT safe to roam around at night.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Placement Experience:

Admission and carrier development cell is there in the college and provides good support but for average packages but for top packages only on your own self you have to grab them. One campus packages are between 3 lakhs 5 lakhs up to 10,20 lacs and highest once even up to 64 lakhs but off campus goes up to crore.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

DTU- Place to shine your career and opportunities

When I had applied for JAC, I had option of NSUT or IIIT Delhi, but I had chosen this, as DTU has one of the oldest legacies, alumni network and college culture and all.
