Remarks

The college is ranked 3rd among private colleges in Mumbai by Times of India. It has good infrastructure, lot of labs and a lot of companies come for placements. The faculty is also good and very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is based on Mumbai University syllabus. In any subject of the course(talking about my course) the syllabus covers mostly all the toics associated with that subject. Thus the portion is very vast. After you learn the course, you will never be completely blank on any topic related to the course.

Internships Opportunities

When I was studying in the college,it didn't.used to give any internships. However, now that Mumbai University has made internships mandatory for engineering students, the college might have started giving internships. It would be best to enquire in the college regarding this.

Placement Experience

4

The placement process is the 4th year of Engineering.Mostly IT companies come to the college offering CTC of 3-4 lakhs. Some companies offering more money select few students every year. The roles are mainly in the line of Software Developer with some companies offering technical marketing. At one point even a shipping company came so anything can happen.

College Events

5

There are a lot of events in this college. This is a list of all the events held throughout an academic year. Freshers day Engineer day Teachers day Open mic: Singing for fun St.Ignatius Loyola Feast Prom Spandan: Cultural fest Techfest: Technical fest Industrial Visit Farewell party Sports competitions

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is according to the Mumbai University standards and is quite expensive for a poor students as the fees is almost 1 lakh per year. However there are many scholarships which are offered for deserving students ,the details of which can be found out from the college.

Campus Life

4.5

The college has a lot of extracurricular activities like drama club, Dance club and different events. The college also actively participates in different inter-college tournaments in games like football, cricket, etc. The college also has an annual intra-sports competition which spans almost a month. There are a lot of computer Labs. There is an electronics and electrical lab also which has a little less equipment which 3-4 people have to share.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are no hostels that are run by this college. So most people studying here come from home in Mumbai.Other people from outside Mumbai live in various hostels or PG places across the city. These are fairly easy to find.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of XIE is spread all across the globe and is very helpful if you reach out to them for help. The faculty of this college will guide you when you need to contact them. Alumni also visit the college on many occasions and then some of them give their valuable insights in their respective fields.

Exam Structure

There are 2 semesters in a year. Each semester has 2 unit tests(which have weightage in final grade) and 1 end semester exam. The end semester exam is held at the end of each semester and mostly comes in May and December.

Admission

I got into this college from management quota. Step 1: Go to the college and Apply there providing entrance exam scores. Step 2:The college will prepare a separate list of students (who have applied through this quota )according to their marks and provide seats to people in accordance to this list.

Faculty

4

The faculty is pretty much good in the college and has a good reputation of being one of the best among private colleges in Mumbai. They will cover the portion and are very helpful.Morden methods like PowerPoint presentations and videos are used as teaching aids.
