Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course I opted in this college is a new course which the college have started to teach. I have opted for BE IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING. The subjects that is being taught in the first year is not at all relevant to the course I have opted. What is the use of chemistry and physics in AIML I don't understand. What is use of the regional language in my course?? And there's waste management, what do I have to dump in my computer ?? That only subjects which was relevant according to me were python, C++ and Maths. The python and C++ taught in first year is already been taught in 11th and 12th. From your second year you get to study your core subjects and they have still not made it up to the mark. I'm in my second year now and all they have been teaching is already what I know from my 11th and 12th.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are internship opportunities in our college including stipend internships. Companies like google, Microsoft, CISCO, TCL and etc are companies you can do internships. You can start searching for internships in your third year of engineering. The internships can be provided to you by college and also through AICTE.

Placement Experience

2

The students become eligible for campus placements is from their fourth year. Many companies visited our college from the seniors I got to know that CISCO, TCL etc have visited our college for placements. The highest package till now was 7-8 LPA. Not many students get there jobs in campus placements. I would say about 20% - 35% students get campus placements. In short campus placements are not that good in our college comparing from past two years. My plan after degree is to do an additional coding course and applying for a job outside the college rather than going into campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course which I opted is BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING IN ARTICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING.., which a four year course, I went through management seat into this college . I am paying 2 lakhs per year which is 1 lakh per semester. And additionally you have to pay 22000/- at the beginning of the for your uniform fee, sports fee, records and stuff, this fee will be asked only one time through the course for whole of it. There are few scholarship programs that our college provides and also specifically for girls there are few scholarship programs. I have friends in other branches too ( Mechanical, CSE, IOT, ) Mechanical course's fee sturcture is as same as mine. But CSE course fee structures varies only in the course fee (2.5 lakhs per annum ) and rest all is same for all the courses for students entering through management seats.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is good. As am not an hostelite but can say that I have enjoyed much in college along with my friends. Yeah you can get books related to you subjects in the library. The sports departments is good they can provide you with good facilities. You have a indoor badminton court, and outdoor basketball court, a football turf, you also get cricket practicing nets and indoor games too..the sports department is great the faculties there are also good they encourage your involvement in sports and stuff.

Admission

This college was my only last option because I was waiting for my KCET exam results, and the college I got through KCET was very far and not that good. By the time I was waiting for my KCET allotment. The other colleges were full. So this is the reason I had to join here because it was near and not so bad compare to other colleges. You still get many good colleges compared to the college I am studying in. You can take a peek in Reva university, Presidency University, Atria College, BNMIT, and many more which are far better than this college.

Faculty

3

The faculties of the college are friendly not all of them but most of them yeah. Few faculties are great at teaching what they teach where as few faculties are not as good as they need to be. I guess it's just because of frequent change in faculties. But few faculties are like those with whom you doesn't wanna mess up. They really suck. I'm in my second year, 3rd semester, I'm giving my final exams right now, till now I had like given 100 exams approximately considering my internals and externals and lab exams.... but many more have to come as I still am in 3rd semester. Not many students fail to clear exams only few of them in a ratio of 2:10.

Night Life

4

The night life around this college is good, you get many cafes and restaurants around including KFC, MCD Burger King and many more. They are many hostels and PGs around the college... you get stationary shops around xerox shops next to college. The environment is safe to roam at night. There is supermarket for students for their needs. The hostel in college has timings, you should be in college before 8 or 7 in the evening.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
