Likes

The thing i liked about the college is that everyone collectively dislike the college. The unity that everyone show in regretting their decision to join this colleg.
I like the improvement of the college with respect to cultural activities even though there is a lot more room for improvement.

Dislikes

I dislike the lecturers. Nobody knows proper English, and their way of explaining the topics is very poor.
I dislike the campus food. There are very limited options with bad quality meals.
I dislike the infrastructure of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is not only similar but exacty the same as CSE ( I am from AIML). The subjects are quite interesting yet very vague. It is also theoritical aswell. The labs are only about coding but those seem like a typing class since no one really explains what it is that we are typing.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 222000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Mine was a management seat and since i joined quite early (i.e. before all the KCET rounds were out) i did not have to give donation. The fees that i paid for first year was Two lakh twenty two thousand which is inclusive of college fees, uniform fee, placement fee, laboratory fee, etc. From my second year, i was asked to pay only Rs. Two lakh.

Campus Life

The college is located in the city of Bangalore yet there are veryy less Bangalorians. The students are from different districts across Karnataka hence there is not a lot of unity. The social life aswell is not great

Admission

I chose this college because of its low fees. When compared to other universities, the fee that this college asks for is less. Nevertheless the quality of education is also less when compared to other university.

Faculty

The faculty members have very poor teaching skills. Nobody seems to understand what they teach. Even the teachers are intrested only in finishing the assigned syllabus within given time and do not care about student gaining knowledge. There is also shortage of teachers. The course structure is exactly the same as CSE. There are no specialisations yet. Just general subjects.

The Reality of Studying Here

Placement Experience:

from 6th Sem u are eligible to sit for the placement. A lot of companies come to the college i don't focus on company name my focus will be on the CTC and average is 4-5LPA and the highest package was 20LPA. but very less student get placed because they don't have proper technical skill and the one who have skills they are placed in our college. before getting a Degree i need a job from Campus Placement this is my plan after getting Degree let's see I haven't made any plans right now.

Placements at NITK are quite good ,especially for core branches and IT-related roles,with many reputed companies visiting the campus.The college also provides good exposure and support,making students well prepared for jobs,higher studies, or competitive exams after graduation. From 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement. Top companies that visited NITK: Microsoft,Google,Amazon,Adobe,Goldman sachs,Uber,Oracle,Morgan stanley,Samsung R and D ,TCS,Infosys,Dell,bajaj auto,Reliance etc. overall 190-220+ companies visited campus . Best Kept Secret

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for this year is the updated one. Its 2025 Scheme for the students. The curriculum is well designed according to the needs of CSE students for real life coding. The curriculum contains all required and updated topics which students from CSE background require to develop excellent skills for jobs and startups. There should be only one internal exam instead of two. Because, two internal exams tend to keep them involved more into college exams leaving very less time to build their extra skills. Thus there should be only one internal exam so that students can build their extra skills.

MIT Manipal's Student Plaza is amazing!

Placement Experience:

MIT Manipal Placements starts at around 6th semester as atleast the training and all starts. So final interviews and all starts for us in the 7th semester and before entering 8th or the final semester most of the placements are already done. I still wants to pursue masters as our university has tie-ups with American universities and our course skills can be bettered with masters is what I feel.

MIT Manipal boast a night life worth spending!

Placement Experience:

Around 47 students in our course and in 2025 36 of them were placed and rest I don't think even applied as jobs were definitely available. Infosys, Polaris and others who are now world famous for building cyber security systems were at MIT Manipal to hire students.

BMS College of Engineering truth

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placement from 7th sem. A lot of companies visit the campus,around 300 companies visit and around 1200 offers are made. The big ones are oracle, natwest, ring central,visa. The highest package is around 35 lpa, the average is around 10 lpa. Around 65% students do get placed. My plans are to get a good job after this degree.

This college was my only last option because I was waiting for my KCET exam results, and the college I got through KCET was very far and not that good.
