Course Curriculum Overview

Thanks to Nep , i am really satisfied that nep came and the college being autonomous its a very great advantage to students as well. Very less load on students for their exam as now credit based subjects are there divided into internal and external examinations and 2 sem for a year

As said earlier, the reason i chose this college is for the placements every other week there is notification to students about new internships and jobs opportunities and i think its a great opportunity for us to grab. Wipro accenture kpmg etc are companies which come for the same

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for bcom is approximately 20000-21000. Different scholarships are also available for the students as well there are some admissions via different quotas. Bms fees 34000 Baf 24000 Bfm 23000-24000 All the amounts are approx and are yearly . 3-4 merit list comes out depending upon the course selected

Campus Life

There are two fest one annual fest that is SIESONS and other one are department based fests like bcom bfm baf bbi have advaita fest, bms has sharpshooters fest and many more There are various comittee in college and there is some or other opportunity for each student in th college

Admission

I had applied to pillais college earlier and got admission in pillais but i was still waiting for sies merit list hoping my name would come and yes my name came and immediately cancelled my name from pillais and admitted into sies. I do not regret the decison the placements and interships are very nice and there is balance between fest events and studies

Faculty

The faculties are quite friendly supportive as well as cooperative. Teachers like alisha mam snehal mam jinal mam sugandha mam are gem for us and many other teachers as well. Exam structure is also very nice

Night Life

College gets closed around 6:00 pm opens at 7:00 am There is canteen , gymkhana , library and have different timings for the same. There is also a. Temple in the college past its establishment Lawn area is also there and amphitheater is also there

I would rate the BBI course curriculum at Lala Lajpat Rai College as fairly relevant and moderately comprehensive. The focus on finance, banking, and insurance subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum gives a good theoretical base and helps in preparing for further studies like MBA, M.Com, or government exams. However, it lacks practical exposure, internships, and industry interaction, which could make it more job-oriented. Teaching methods can also improve by including case studies, field visits, and guest lectures.Exams are held twice a year (semester-wise) and include internals (25 marks) and externals (75 marks). They are moderately difficult manageable with regular studies.

Learning in a fun way

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing this college or any other college for that matter should do is host people from different walks of life and ask them to brief the students about whatever great things they know. You should also prepare your students for different life skills. A webinar on how to budget properly, how to invest, how to survive in a jungle etc. The practicals that were given to us held very less value in my opinon. It seemed as if we are just doing the practicals for the sake of it.

Placement Experience:

Talking about campus placement, overall rating is Excellent. Some IT companies like TATA Consulatancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Sutherland, Eclerx. and banking companies includes ICICI AMC, ICICI Bank Pvt. Ltd., TATA AMC, used to visit college campus to conduct assessment round in college itself. Highest package was around 5 lakh per anum and average package was around 3 lakh per anum. I even got placed in TCS with 4.4 Lakh annual salary. Almost 70% of bachmates was placed with more than average package and there were good opportunity for science background also. After getting degree i worked for 1.5 years and now i'm going to persue my career in management roles.

The fees structure of SYBAF as follows Tution fees -10000,Library fees -600, Laboratory fees -1000, Gymkhana -400,other fees - 250,exam fees- 2606,other Activity fees -4000,E charges -1000 and many other charges are there.

SIES uncovered; Pros, Cons and Student life

Other from SIES, I applied for the same course in Ruia college and Somaiya college. I got confirmed admission form from Somaiya college but i didn't opt for it as the fees are too high compared to SIES college. I didn't get admission in ruia college because their cutoff was high. I was eligible to get admission as my total marks in HSC board exam was 418 and the cutoff was 420 so I visited my college and had a talk with the faculty member, the faculty members guided me well and told me to bring HSC mark sheet, and fees (DD form) that's it....Read More

I've applied for VES college, chembur and pillai college, panvel and I got addmission but because of their fests and other programs I denied that college.
