Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum moderatly fair as situation in education industry in India. For core branches curriculum is quite good but for branches like computer science curriculum is not up to the mark. Campus focuses on 70-80% theoretical knowledge and so ratio here can be improved. Frequency of exams are ok-ok.

Placement Experience

3

Final year students are eligible for campus placement but as college is situated in tier 3 city hence Good campus placement should not be expected .Here should opt for off campus placement more than in campus. As I am pursuing a core degree in engineering hence I prefer to opt PSU rather private company.

Fees and Financial Aid

Initially in first year the fees I paid for B.tech is 33850 that is 28850 (15700 for first semester and 13150 for second semester) + 5000 caution money. In GGU fees in odd semester is more than even semester. In second year fees we paid is 30900 that is 16050 in third semester and 14850 in fourth semester and as in 2nd year fees of 3rd and 4th year will be same and hence my fees for four years of engineering will be 126550 which is approx 1.3 lakh rupees. This fees is for general category and for other categories like OBC, SC and ST category too. Scholarships are provided in college by state government with full fees waiver to the student . Student are getting scholarship in their tution fees by government of Chhattisgarh as well as in college National scholarships are also availed

Campus Life

4

College campus is quite good, Nature friendly and large and has a Central Central library and departmental library too which has good range of books, at different occasions different festa are being conducted also sports and extra curricular activities are supported by college campus. Also different clubs are boring ran by students and faculties.

Admission

College fees is very less as compared to the other colleges I applied for. Here I will pay 1.3 lakh rupees for four years of engineering where as If other colleges of I would have opted I'll have to pay 3.3 lakh to 4.2 lakh rupees for four years. Ggu is a Central University and a reputated college hence validity of degree here I will get is more as compared to other private college for example I have applied for Shankaracharya Technical Campus . College takes admission through Jee mains exam. Through JOSAA,CSAB and for remaining seats spot counciling is been held.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio in college is 25-30 students per teacher which is quite good, faculties in the college are well educated, kind and supporting also in the core branches as like Chemical Engineering research work is promoted. Faculties are ease to approach by any student . Also the relation between teacher and student is quite good. I am in 2nd year(4th semester) of college and the faculty I'll remember through out my life is Dr.Anuradha N.Joshi who taught me fluid mechanics in 3rd semester and she is also my mentor in my mini project as mam is very kind, understanding and has student friendly behaviour and also very supportive. In college per year there are 2 semester exams and 4 class tests are held . Level of difficulty is moderate 60-70% students clear exam at once.

Interview Experience

4

No I don't have gone through any GD, interview or test as I have admission is done through Jee mains either by JOSAA, CSAB or spot counciling. I got admitted through spot counciling in the college which is held for the vacant seats address JOSAA and CSAB

Night Life

4

At night college has a beautiful view points there are 3 ponds within college campus, 2 Temples, gym area and yoga centre and a large area of 655acres Cafeterias are open up to 10pm . For boys hostel timing is 10pm and for girls it is 6pm .

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. It is important to note that a lot many students did not sit for campus placements as they had different career aspirations (government jobs, higher education, business ventures etc.) My plans were to prepare for upcoming competitive government exams as well as try my hand at something different and creative

1. Students from seventt semester and onwards are eligible for the campus placements. 2. There are ample numbers of comapnies visited in our college like schneider electric, bpcl, bhel, bhel, reliance, catterpillar, eil, and so on. As per the last year data around 130 comapnies made in to our campus and they offered around 800 plus offers to various studenst of different departments. 3. The highets package offered this year is 60 lakhs that is offered by DE Shaw and average package is something around 11 laks per annum 4. Taking considerations of students of all departments, almost 70 percent students get placed. 5. Presently my plan after getting degree is to get into a job.

Microtex, HCL, Wipro and many other IT companies gives us research projects and also their work as well. So, we basically have indirectly worked for them and the ones they feel can add more to their organization comes with a clear mind and take us with a package that we expect them to. So, placements are purely on performance as those who perform well are given best of placements.
