Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is fairly relevant which is compareable to any other state university or private engineering College in terms of the quality and it does a align with national education policy. Many of the courses are accredited with NBA so the acceptance internationally is validated if you wish to pursue higher studies for job in any other institute which may be in India or abroad. If you attend classes the course instructors push you to visualise real world applications of the course content for the topics but it is mostly based on the personal interest. Every course has areas for improvement so even here they could have included more practical stuff into the course instead of it being more heavy on the theory side which is not a surprise but fairy regular in terms of a State University there are newer methods and tools which they win incorporated to make the course more inline with the upcoming trends. The exams come every month so the student has to be prepared for them and constantly beyond track with the course attend all the classes and have regular study after the classes they may fall short to keep up with the pace of exams. Although exam can be handled solving the previous year questions and recommended books and notes given by the faculty.

Internships Opportunities

3

Here you easily get an option for internship after your third year which is compulsory part of the course for everyone to do the college does assist you in getting internships decent amount of companies visit the college for internship based on your academic performance you can get a good paying internship. But even if you don't manage to get that with the contact of faculty members what simply through contacting your alumni on LinkedIn you can easily grab internship opportunities while they may or may not be paid but you can have industry experience or research experience from those internship you do have to submit a report after your internship which you do at the end of your third year for anywhere between two to six months. But you can also do internships in first and second year but that up to you how you can manage and create contacts with alumni of your college and how much do you want to learn and the time management capability. The roles offered under The internship that are offered on campus is mostly engineering training for sales domain full stop this type and may very from 15000 to 40000 rupees based on the company you can get selected in. As expected the amount of type and can very significantly if you are in computer science and it branches it can be more but that's more based on your skill and your individual effort. The projects that you do in your third year after your third year you have to submit a report based on that it has credit awarded so it is compulsory for you to submit it in order to get your degree according to the educational policy. Students may of research internships in institute like IIT is or other Central funded research institutes aur ine industrial companies like public sector undertaking companies PSU or even private companies based on your preference and caliber. The internship is the real experience after your academic course. So in short you can easily get an internship.

Placement Experience

3

Yes the placements are offered in the campus you can choose to opt for them in most branches nowadays they have employment opportunities but you must maintain her respectable CGPA for that there is a minimum requirement of 6.5 CGPA to sit in the placement process. About the placement process from the 6th semester onwards the placement get started and continue till the last semester so based on the number of companies visiting in the given year you have lot of time to offer for placement. The parameters like visiting companies and the number of offers very quite a bit through different years but you can assume that in core branches like chemical mechanical or electrical you can get pledge if you have decent CGPA also in the branches like computer science and information technology you have in opportunity to get good amount of package if you have the skills necessary based on the current IT industry standards. A decent amount of companies visit the college every year and any student from a core branch can also appear in the placement of an IT company. The average package varies every year but you can assume it to be between 6 to 7 LPA for the entire University it may very based on the branches the cs and it branches get the high packages for few students while in core branches the highest package tops to 10 and 12 lacs. It is easier to get a job in chemical technology branches here because of the number of companies visiting in those domain. Most of the students which are eligible in terms of academics get placed in most branches however it is always changing based on the current market scenario. Most students have plans for campus placement and joining the industry after the degree some choose for higher studies in iit's through GATE exam for some may prefer to go to abroad universities through scholarships if they get any. Some students may also opt for entrepreneurship.

Fees and Financial Aid

So for the first year the fees you pay is 75000 seat acceptance fees + 60000 admission fees and also at 2500 registration fees which is not to be paid yearly. So that fees for the first year is 135000 rupees. If you opt for hostel you pay 61000 including 25000 for hostel and 36000 for mess which makes it a total of around 2 lakh rupees roughly. From the second year onwards you pay 127500 rupees plus hostel and mess charge extra this contains 75000 as tuition fees component while the rest includes are other charges. Now regarding scholarships you can apply to UP scholarship program for that the eligibility criteria is that your annual family income should be less than 150000 for for general and OBC where is 2 lakhs for SC ST candidate. Based on the category you can get scholarship ranging from 50000 to somewhere around 70000 rupees. There are few other scholarship program like Reliance scholarship , siemens scholarship etc. vichar based on merit.

Campus Life

3

Lover all experience is fairly average the annual fests are subject to the decision by the administration every year which is quite and certain but the technical fest do happen and they are quite a learning experience based on the college most of the events are generally held in the second semester of the year which is the time from between January to May. There is sufficient amount of books in the library which will require for your course and your studies in the college there are reference books which you may require to pass your University exams all the you have other options to rent books nearby. The availability of latest journals is uncertain. The technology provided in the classroom is fairly average you get smart board and projector which is decent for smooth conduction of classes. But you might not get air conditioner in every classroom. The conduct of sports activities is based on the student participation every year so the sports fest is conducted regularly every year and the extra curricular activities are also there in good number. You can participate to volunteer in the first year and gain experience of event management and other domains and become club secretaries in the third year which is a great experience. There are many clubs run by students and a few social groups yes they are student portals and you feel quit engaged due to the regular activities conducted by the sub council and all the clubs that come under the university activity council. But it largely depends on your participation. You can learn to run groups and clubs by working with the senior. Hotel for your grievances and other issues. As a student you have many opportunities to participate in many events and workshops throughout the year in whatever capacity you wish to engage yourself.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility is fairly decent based on which hostel you get allotted . If you get an older hostel you might suffer for the infrastructure but the mess in the older hostels is better. The room are decent in size and ventilation and also security. There is a security guard at the hostel gate for student security. They are ward boy in hostel for official assistant and cleaning workers for maintenance of rooms and overall hostel. There is mess and inside the hostel so you don't have to go anywhere. The meal provided in the hostel are edible and no issues in some hostels you do get better food then you expect full stop the menu can be amended by the students on their call. The registration process for the hostel is totally online before starting of any year hostel forms are opened students can register for the hostel. Taking the mess is compulsory for anyone who ops for the hostel facility. You have to pay the fees of mess which is equal in every hostel which is 36000 for 10 months. If you wish to reside outside in the hostels you get many rooms to rent or PGs for every price range depending on the quality and the facilities provided. You can easily get a room with the help of your seniors for the locality residence which are quite helpful to students . In terms of food while living outside you can choose to cook for yourself or hire maid or if you don't want to do that you have option to opt for private mess facility near the college area there are many messes running so you can have your food from there. You can also opt for tiffin services which are easily available and can be found through contacting your seniors or local residents. The hostel affordability inside the college is subjective while you can get rooms outside in the similar price and better quality some may prefer the security of college and company of classmates living together in the hostel. But even the PGS and flats outside are fairly safe and offer good living lifestyle based on your budget.

Admission

So the main reason for choosing the college was that the chemical technology branches here are one of the oldest in the country so they have the expertise and experience. The large alumni network is the biggest plus point of the college as the illuminai are on very notable positions and prestigious institutes. Also the core branches are often overlooked in private colleges but here the core branches students do get placed with decent package. I did apply in several colleges in Delhi and some private colleges in NCR. After getting admission in all those I still decided to choose this and I believe it's a fair choice. I got seat in Delhi University , Jamia Delhi and IPU also by the merit list I could get into lower NITs. Admission process of the colleges fairly simple they release a form you fill it online they have a portal for counselling and you can also check the previous year rank list for admission which will give you idea which branch you can get in the college. There is decent time given to complete step in the admission process keep your documents ready and the fees for the first year and the admission process becomes smooth after you have paid the fees you up for hostel in mess. They give you a date for physical reporting. In the counselling process you also get the option to upgrade your seat based on the further rounds so you can participate in multiple rounds and get a better branch. And if you don't like the branch you get at the end you can opt out but once you get a seat you have to pay the seat acceptance fees which is 75000 yes that can be refunded if you use not to take admission in the for the latest stage but that's not very quick. You have to wait for some time for that to happen. Have your documents like your school marksheets and your category certificate if any ready with the prescribed standards which are mentioned in the admission information brochure.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is fairly average not very less and serviceable based on your skills they are failure approachable and helpful in guiding you. Mostly chemical technology branches faculty members are more helpful in personal opinion. There are different kind of people in every college in terms of faculty but no professor is such that they are unlikable in fact they are pretty helpful. It's all about your skill of conversation. So in terms of exams you have two mid semester examinations which consist of 15 marks and one end semester examination which is the final exam consisting of 50 marks each subject. The exams are fairly decent based on difficulty you can quite easily pass if you study well. If you do not study regularly and are not serious in the examination you might get failed. The course curriculum here is as relevant as in any other engineering College with an exception of IITs. But the courses on par based on the technical knowledge and understanding. It's also up to you how much knowledge you can squeeze out of the course for the given faculty with their experience they can even guide you further even if the college does not have required research infrastructure the faculty can guide you to any extent again it comes to your convincing and conversation skills.

Night Life

3

There are around 4 canteens in the main campus which are sufficient for your needs for snacks and occasional food outing. However they have specific time when they are open and the pricing is decent. You have a gym in the West campus which is average for exercising and training. The library consists of enough reading material and books which are reference books or course text books wish you may require to pass your exams in university you can also issue them for a week. The library infrastructure has been updated and it is online now. Where as the availability of latest journals is uncertain. There are Hangout places near the college inside the college you only get the cafeteria's the locality is fairly safe and you can roam around at any time of day or night at any given day. You can hangout with friends anytime and anywhere because of public transport easily available you can visit the famous spots.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.
