Good College for a Fair Fee

The course curriculum is simple and straightforward. You can also check the syllabus in LPU's Website before taking admission. The entire syllabus is perfectly balanced and cater to the job market trends. However, practicals are relying on outdated tech. Same goes for some theory subjects too. For example, they teach Angular 7 which is far old. Ypou often get errors while installing additional packages and plugins for angular. Every theory course makes your foundation strong,but some practicalimplementations often gives you error.

Students become eligible for placement from 4th semester onwards. You have to pay a decent Career Service fee after which you will be eligible for campus placements. You are also given classes for placements which are fair enough. Most of the students get placed in non-tech roles. The companies which offer tech role are mass recruiters(WITCH). The other core companies include Microsoft and Google. Students are placed with average package aroung 18-30000 / month. Most of the companies for offering tech roles often prefer students with BTech over BCA.

The fee per semester was 60000 INR. The average scholarship you can get is minimum 40% with LPUNEST ( which is pretty easy . The other fee was around 4000/ year for examination. There are other scholarships provided if you are a meritious student : 1) For Education Board Toppers : 100% 2) 98%+ in 12th : 60% 3)95% + in 12th :50 % 4)90% + in 12th : 40% 5)80%+ in 12th : 30 %

Campus life is very fun here. There are events, workshops , events, seminars and even celebrity talks. The library is vast and also include a Mac Lab ( You only get access after getting a permission ) . Lending books is far easy. Search your book, take it to the counter, scan your ID card, take the receipt and done. The rteurn process is also easy. Give your book and done. Everything is linked to your ID card and is seamless. If you are active in sports, LPU has wide arms open for you. They provide all facilities for betterment and encourage of players which include meal and health food vouchers, exam exmptions,etc. If you active in culture activities, you are welcome to Division Of Student Welfare, where there are culture activities all around the clock.

A typical hostel room of 4 inmates includes individual beds, chair, tables, almirah . The size of room is pretty fair. You are not allowed to run heavy electrical equipments. The qulaity of food is decent . The taste is not upto the mark. You will start to embrace your home food . But , I won't comment much as this is a subjective issue.

I applied for other colleges but what made me choose LPU : 1) The fee I paid /sem was around 14000 INR. This was far more affordable . 2) I got to attend several workshops , seminars, live events . 3) I was fascinated by the campus aesthetics. Admission Process : The admission process was pretty easy. I applied for LPUNEST online, gave my test in offline mode. Notified that I got 80% scholarship. A detailed overview of fee structure was sent to me along with my LPU UMS Id and Password. Paid the fee online. I was then asked to upload my documents onlne. After 2-3 weeks, you would be notified to come to to college and complete the onboarding facilities.

Don't be dependant on your faculties at all. All they do is read the PPTs. There are exceptions though, Many senior teachers are quite impressive. Some of the practical teachers are also dull. Their marking on your exams are also not quite satisfactory. Once, there was a 10 marks question : Explain run levels. ( Linux red hat ) The answer to this question was simple. There are 7 run levels. And I mentioned them all. The weird part was explaining them. Since, these run levels were like Shutdown, Command line mode etc. How can you further explain these. She gave me 2/10 marks for that question. I asked her why ? She told that the answer need to be explained according to 10 marks. I further asked her " What do you expect , please explain what would I do if the same question comes in my end term ?" She blatantly replied "Refer to PPTs ". And yes, my answer was 100% similar tothe PDF she gave in class. So, yes, teachers are not skilled enough and are sometimes quite unexplainable. If you find a skilled teacher, maintain good relation and communication till your course last. Examinations : Examinations are pretty normal. Per semesters you get 3 CAs , 1 Mid Term and 1 End Term. Your CGPA includes the marks of 2 CA ( Best 2 out of 3 ) +Mid Term + End Term Failing in CA and absence in End Term will lead to backlog so take care, Also, the exams are preety quick in schedules, som preparing alongside your classes is necessary as you may run out of time.

Nightlife is restricted in LPU if you are living in campus hostels. Every place is restricted except food courts ansd areas around campus. Major areas are closed after 10 pm . The canteens are open though inside hostels 24 hours.
