Remarks

Positive is that Halls we’re pretty good in terms of food and other facilities too. Negative is that the classroom that we had was in boys hall which was quite difficult. It is big enough but still it would be good if we get a separate class for the department.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

According to me, syllabus were very much advanced and the way they teach is perfect. It is not just about textual information but includes all the ongoing problems, which will be helpful in our day to day life.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. Our college does provide internship and many more opportunities to the students. But I have not taken any internship or that sort during my undergraduate. The internship that our college provides are very beneficial and helps a lot in our day to day life too.

Placement Experience

5

Placements and job option our college is awesome. When we were in our final year, people comes from different companies to interview. So it is up to us the students to go and grab those opportunities.

College Events

4.5

Deep woods Margaret Hall day Dept. Inauguration Day Martin hall day Boys hall day Football competition Freshers day Audition Theatre 59 Our college celebrates many events and sometimes it’s within our college but there is some inter college competitions too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive for the self financed stream or Evening department. It seems that evening department is private and that is why it is expensive. I paid like 28,000 each sem. But for the morning department it is affordable as it comes under government.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have never availed any kind scholarship from my college. But I have heard that there is scholarship given to those who are in very much need of. But for that you need to show your parents income and some sort proof.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities- I don’t know about labs as such but let me tell you about sports. The opportunities they give regarding sports are pretty good. It is not just about boys playing basket, football or be it cricket. Even among the halls we have football competitions in which I took part and we won the match too. That was my best experience in my whole 3 years of staying there.

Hostel Facilities

5

I was a hall resident and that was the best part in my whole 3 years of staying there. The facilities and infrastructure are very good and there was so much happening inside our hall too. Like hall day, football match among the halls and many more.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, They were helpful. They guide us and show us around the campus at first and explains us about the tradition our college has. They stood by us when we needed them and guide us with the proper direction to follow.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is like there will be three cumulative assessments, out of which 2 will be like unit test and 1 as an assignment. It will be best 2 out is 3. Then the end of sem exam is out of 100 marks.

Admission

I applied online for the course and they will shortlist and send you mail if you’re shortlisted. It can be done through online but still if you come to the college and check it out. That would be more profitable and this college works on the basis of recommendations.

Faculty

4.5

They are quite frank and clears all the doubts we have regarding the subjects. They have good teaching experience and try to approach the particular text in many different perspectives. The way they teach is very understandable and easy to accumulate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
