St. Xavier’s College Palayamkottai, Tamil Nadu was set up in 1923 by Rev. Fr. Jesuit, Madurai with an aim of developing generations of students for a healthy, happy and harmonious life. This college is basically a men’s college but basically 30% of women are admitted every year as per Govt. Rules. Admission to the various courses is based on merit scored by the students in the last qualifying exam. The name of selected applicants will be published on the notice board of the college. Final selection will be done based upon personal interview

The admission is based on the 12th marks only and it is done in online once we got selected we have interview with the college principal and our seat is obtained . This college is run by The Jesuits of Madurai so the discipline committee is very well and the green campus will calm our mind

Addmission process is very easy eligibility for all courses such as relevant to marks and percentage in 12th application fee is 200 something all of as being friendly to help for addmission there are reservation also available for SC and ST candidates

I didn't take any entrance exams because 2020 was a corona peak time and I applied through online mode. In the second selection list, my admission number was displayed so I even paid the fees through the mode of online.

I've not faced any issues while applying and getting admission to the college. They have provided a better way of admitting students. And they provided an excellent way of welcoming the students for admission. I think they can improve the admission process by less the call on students by making extra batches.

We have two shifts in our college shift 1 is aided and shift 2 is self finance. Admission process is same for both the shift. The college releases admission portal after the announcement 12th state board results. Students have to download the application, fill them and should take a print out of it and should submit it to the college. Selection will based on marks scored in 12th board. Other board students whose results may get delayed will dates extended.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is very manageable. Exams, regular tests, presentations are part of the curriculum. Practical knowledge is given more importance. The teachers complete the syllabus on time. I am satisfied with the curriculum division.

The course was a well structured and challenging program. every month we had Tour and Industrial Visit, Intra Departmental programmes. The teacher prepared us for the Paper presentation and every week we had a Business Quiz for all the students.
