My sweet college days!!

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

I paid 12000 as admission fee at first. I didn't paid any special fee or tution fee. Fee for other departments will be varied, based on the lab fee. For English, we paid some money for language lab.Course value is good and they have introduced many scholarships like minority scholarship, merit scholarship etc.

They conducted indeco every year, which focus on students' talents in solo singing, group singing, dancing, drama, mime, quiz. For the department of English, they conduct some programs every year to enhance the talents of students.

Yes, I applied late for other colleges also. So I didn't get seat. But, St.Xaviers college is one of the top colleges and I am very happy that got seat there. There was no specific exams for admission in that college that time. They asked simple gk questions for me.

There were two shifts. For English morning shift, we were 72 students in 2014 batch. There were around 10 faculties. They were very much knowledged in literature. Most of them completed their doctorate in English literature. Faculty and students relationship was so friendly. I liked professors Dr.Lizie Williams, Dr.Maria Ignatius, Dr.John, Dr.Princy. They were very fluent in English language. Exam system is appreciable. There are two internal exams and one semester. For internal exams, department faculty will conduct exam questions.

Library was so big and there were best books of varied fields available. Students have to put entry with their identity card before entering library. There was an extra curricular activity named STAND. For that students had to go out for villages to do activities. We learnt about to he value of relationships.
