Likes

College timing is very comfortable as I'm regular stream student. 8.30 AM to 1.25 PM
Staffs will be very friendly and supportive.
Often Staff will have meeting so the college will ends up on 11 30 PM itself

Dislikes

Mobiles are not allowed in the campus so i don't like this
If we done any mistakes then our ID card will be snatched by staffs
Paying fine often will be very risk for the people who uses mobile phone

Course Curriculum Overview

More extra curricular activities are included. AICUF, NCC, NSS, STAND VISIT. Most of the classes will be on Powerpoint presentation and Language lab which will be more useful and interactive. Timing of exam for CIA is 1.30hrs and for semester exam 3 hrs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure will be divided as two categories. 1. Regular stream 2. Self stream Regular stream fee will be 17000(per year) which is government aided Self stream will be doubled the amount of regular stream so you have to pay 17000(per semester) I have provided the fee structure for ARTS group. Science group will be more because their fees will include Labs. Scholarship will be provided for BC, SC, ST students.

Campus Life

Every december there will be a program called INDEGO which is an inter departmental program this is the best program in the college. Celebrating of festivals will be awsome. Dress code is color so collge looks colorful when we were roaming around the campus

Admission

This college is very much standard and ot provides lots of activities which enhace our skills. The college will be more eco friendly which seems very greeny. There will be more places for both girls and boys to leisure their time freely

FACULTY MEMBER: They will be more friendly and supportive. They will be available for us to clear all our doubts. COURSE STRUCTURE: There will be CORE , ALLIED, GENERAL TAMIL and GENERAL ENGLISH for 1st year and 2nd year. In final year we will have only CORE papers to study. EXAM SYSTEMS AND MARKING SCHEMES: There will be 2 CIA ( continuous internal assessment) and 2 semester for a year. Marks will be provided accordingly by our performance

Starting ug life

My collage full of nature covered, birds sound in after 6.00 pm I loved it. And college is like greenish and opposite site there is thindal murugan kovill this is so good
Fancy store and canteen also have in our college. Big sports ground also have in our college, hand ball was so good in our college we also celebrated 50th year celebration of college
Pongal celebration are celebrated highly like columbus and many games are there in pongal celebration in inside our college we are celebrated happily. Food also provided in our college

Dislikes

I didn't like that our staff keep test in lunch hours also . They strictly maintain the class always test , seminars
No western dress wear in our department I didn't like that chudi and pant full covered shall we want to wear in our college
No free hours given . Home work like scholl . I fill I am going to school

Course Curriculum Overview:

Surroundings are good. Exam timing 3 hours . And normal internal test is about one hour maximum one and half hour. Test are strictly maintain. Teaching in tamil can understand by students I think so . And ppt method need more in class . Staff to teach all the lessons and students sometimes take one part of lesson

My sweet college days!!

Likes

College environment was very neat and clean always.
The birds they kept at the front side campus were so pleasant and calm
Campus was large in size and comfortable

Dislikes

College management is very strict in handling students
College management allot less money as prize money for academic winners
Students should get pass even for 2 minutes late entry

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

The rigour of the course is very intense. The syllabus which is followed here is intense and rigorous. Its unique compared to the syllabus offered in other colleges of India.
Staff lore is very good in MSE. Most of the staffs encourage doubts and are also willing to have conversations with you. Faculties are knowledgeable and they know there stuff very well. They take much interests if you reach out to them through mail.
They provide a lot of guest lectures which gives us a lot of exposure and we get to know how economics works in the real life policy making sectors.

Dislikes

Theres no opportunities for sports and extra curricular activities. They don’t conduct any events rather it is done by putting our own money and by the efforts of the students only.
The campus is very small, and there are no proper areas for sports etc and also the canteen is very bad. It is super minimal.
If you want social life then this college is not the place, only the studious one survive here. Well you can still make friends here but then the college ‘itself’ does not provide any social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics,python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.

The fees structure of the college is little high
They do not provide any study material to prepare ourself for semester exams
They do not take us for a long trip to make our mind feel fresh

Yes, I applied late for other colleges also. So I didn't get seat. But, St.Xaviers college is one of the top colleges and I am very happy that got seat there. There was no specific exams for admission in that college that time. They asked simple gk questions for me....Read More

Only my opinion which is true to my knowledge

There is no entrance exam but you have 2 shifts The higher marks will be given seats in the shift one which is from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm and the second shift starts from 1.45 pm to 6.15 pm You can go to the college website st.xaviers.edu.in and can find the application form and apply the following You will need the Aadhar card your 12th marksheet you 10th marksheet and your 11th marksheet and your transfer certificate if you are not OC you will also need caste certificate.Apply and wait for your call They'll call and let you know if you are admitted to the college...Read More
