Likes

Green Campus and trees all over the campus
Hostel is very near to department blocks
Bus facilities can be availed to go to class

Dislikes

Wifi connection often gets affected in campus
College is in a remote area so cannot get access to necessary items
Cleanliness in campus is not good , waste management is not good

Course Curriculum Overview

The Curriculum here is pretty basic mechatronics engineering group contains both mechanical and electronics core groups subject so it contains both subjects. Exams happen every 5 months like every semester.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

The campus placement are not good in our college.The companies here are basic companies like wipro,infosys,L and T ,Tata Consultancy service .the highest package is 24 l and average package is 5 l per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is 150000 for General non local and 75000 for sc/st non local and 13000 for centac or Puducherry local students.There are no scholarships for non local students but local students can avail scholarship

Campus Life

Campus life and social life here is not at all good . There happens a fest every year for 3 days which is ok . there are also sports events happening then and now but very less . Clubs are also there like robotics , photography etc.

Hostel Facilities

Two hostels are there in college each room have accommodation for 2 members for each room.The food here is pretty average and wifi gets disconnected very often .There are pG s outside hostel which can be rented for around 3000

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

Admission

I had no choice so i chose this college .The admission process is pretty basic.The admission is given on jee marks for non local 80-95 percentile will be the cutoff and ssc marks for local Puducherry students

Faculty

All Faculty here have Phd but the student to staff ratio is also well maintained. Exams are conducted in every sem for 5 months and no mid sem is conducted but there will be continuous assessment tests on which internal depends

Night Life

Night life here is pretty dulll. We are not allowed to go after 9.30 and also there are less food options outside the college so the night life is not good.Gym is there but limited facilities and no hangout spots

Know About Puducherry Technological University

Placement Experience:

By 7th Semester, students are eligible for Campus Placements and there are several companies that have visited our college during a course of 2-3 months and there were many offers made, highest package was of 9.5 LPA and the average is of 5-6LPA Students are getting Placed very well, and i have place already so my plan is to get into the job and excell in the IT Sector

I got into SMVEC First, after a month later, i got into my current college PTU in which everything was better than SMVEC, SMVEC is a lot more like a school, while PTU is more like a college where the staffs dont consider about any rules, but they be on time and perfect when it comes to studies.
