College review

It's a Good college from students from all walks of life and from all parts of India. There aren't much negative reviews. But there are a lot of positive remarks. There are 2 cafeteria inside the college. The infrastructure of the college is also a positive remark.

Biotechnology is a budding Course in india and it is developing at rapid pace. The exam structure is given by Vishweshwaraya Technological University (VTU) as my college and majority of the Eng. Colleges are affiliated to VTU. So they fix the exam structure. Basically, there is 1 monthly test, that makes up 3 monthly test/sem. Thet take the average marks scored and add it to the marks which you score in the Final exam conducted by VTU. The final paper is for 100 marks and they reduce it to 60 so as to add the monthly test marks out of 30 and 10 marks for Assignments given. Thereafter, the CGPA and SGPA are calculated and results are released online in the official VTU website.

The placement in the college, i would give a 7/10. Since, most of the companies that come for the placements are IT companies. So, all the students of any branch are allowed to attend the placement. The college does provide internships. The overall highest stipend ever received by a student was 600,000 for an Exceptional IT student.

We celebrate all the major festivals in the college. The main 3 programs are the Orientation day, college day and Graduation day. Apart from these Formal programs, Kannada rajyostsava is celebrated with great pride. Some of the religious festivals are also celebrated.

It is Feasible. The college is pure value for money. There are colleges that rob us of our money and return no proper education. But at sapthagiri, the fee is Cheap and the returns are high. Every student at SCE is happy with their choice of college.

Scholarships are offered by the Govt. OF Karnataka and the college. There are scholarships for students who have Exceptional academic and Sports record. And for students who can't meet the fee structure, the College will help the student to study.

As per the course chosen there are labs allocated by VTU atleast twice a week. After the college timings students can play any game in the Huge College ground. There is also a basketball court. Sports day is held once a year.

Hostels are Good. 8/10. They is a girls hostel inside the college. And boys hostel owned by the college. The hostels are good. Each room is accommodated with 3 students. Students need to be inside the hostel before 8pm. Outside people are not allowed inside the hostel and there is Biometric Verification to Enter the hostel.

They keep alumni meets in the college during the graduation day of the previous batch. The college does maintain contact with the students incase if they want to do their further education. It is very helpful.

I got in through management Quota. I just approached the college since it had 1st Rank From biotechnology in 2018. So i just called up and set an appointment. They walked me through the admission procedure and the Fee details. So later that week i came with my parents paid the fee and Started attending the college from the next month.

The faculty are well experienced and are very sincere. Just like schools they give ample attention to each student and give proper notes to prepare for the exams.There are many Eng. Branches in the college and over 200 teachers with 1 HOD/ branch.
