What Students Say
Likes
- The infrastructure was very good and faculties are very close to students in study, or other, but the college is still construction ongoing
- The college encourages participation in technical events, seminars, and workshops which helps us gain practical exposure apart from textbooks.
- The curriculum is updated with industry-relevant subjects like AI and Data Science, which is helpful for future career preparation.
Dislikes
- Some parts of the campus are still under construction which causes disturbance during classes and reduces the overall campus experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it includes modern and industry-relevant subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Python programming, and core engineering fundamentals. The curriculum provides a good balance between theory and practical labs which helps in understanding real-world applications. It prepares students for internships, projects, and higher studies. However, more hands-on projects and live industry case studies can be added to improve learning. Exams are conducted through internal assessments and semester end exams, and the difficulty level is moderate. The timing of exams is well planned, and the evaluation process is mostly fair.
Internships Opportunities
My college provides good internship opportunities through collaborations with both industry partners and online platforms. Students get chances to work with companies like Infosys Springboard, IBM SkillsBuild, AWS Academy, TCS iON, and startups connected through the Training and Placement Cell. The major roles offered are Data Science Intern, Python Developer Intern, Web Development Intern, Digital Marketing Intern and AI/ML Intern with stipend depending on the company and duration. During these internships we work on real-time projects such as data analysis using Python, building machine learning models, creating websites, developing chatbots and automation tools. These internships help us improve technical skills, teamwork, project management and industry exposure, which is very useful for placements and higher studies.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. The college invites companies from IT services, startups, and core technology domains. Some of the companies that usually visit include mid-level software firms and service-based companies, offering roles such as software developer, data analyst, and testing engineer. The highest package offered recently was around 10 LPA and the average package is about 6LPA. Nearly 60–70% of students get placed every year. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a job in the IT or AI field and later pursue higher studies.

Campus Life
Campus life in my college is active and engaging with a good mix of academic and cultural activities. The college conducts annual cultural and technical fests, usually held between February and April, which help students showcase their talents. The library has a good collection of textbooks, reference books, and online journals that are easily accessible to students. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart boards which make learning more interactive. The college also encourages sports like cricket, volleyball, and indoor games. There are technical clubs and student groups which improve communication skills and teamwork.
Admission
I applied to a few colleges including M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences and some other private engineering colleges in Karnataka. I received confirmed admission from my current college and a few others, but I chose this college because of its better course structure in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, affordable fee structure, and supportive faculty environment. I could not secure admission in some colleges due to higher cut-off ranks and limited seats. The admission process of my college was simple and transparent, based on eligibility criteria, entrance exam scores, and document verification. Overall, the admission experience was smooth and student-friendly.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio in my department is approximately 1:25, which helps in maintaining good interaction between students and teachers. Most faculty members are approachable and supportive, especially during internal assessments and lab sessions. I liked a few faculties because they explain concepts clearly and encourage us to ask questions. However, some faculties rely too much on slides instead of practical teaching. There are two internal assessments and one semester end exam for major subjects. The difficulty level of exams is moderate and based mainly on the syllabus taught. Around 10–15% students find it difficult to clear some core subjects. The marking scheme is fair and transparent, and the course curriculum is relevant to industry requirements like AI and Data Science.
Night Life
The nightlife around the college campus is calm and student friendly. Most college canteens close by evening, but there are a few small cafés, bakeries, and tea stalls near the campus that remain open till around 9 or 10 PM. Hostel students usually spend time with friends inside the campus by studying together or relaxing in common areas. The campus has fixed entry and exit timings for hostels which ensures safety. There are a few safe hangout spots outside the campus such as small restaurants and fast food centers, and the locality is generally safe to roam around at night.
