Admission process

The course is well diverse and in-depth in the subject. The curriculum is designed as such, that students can get the maximum knowledge out of the subject. The exam structure is similar for all years in VIT. We have to appear for 3 tests in the entire semester for every subject. Two out of those are for 15 marks out of the total 100 marks, and the final exam is composed of 40 marks out of the total 100 marks.

The job opportunities are plenty in college. There are more than 100's of companies coming in for placements and have a high percentage of placements for CSE, EEE, ECE. Our college also provides internships for students. A lot of companies come in significantly for offering internships.

There are more than 100 clubs in VIT. It ranges from technical, management, cultural, arts, and dance, etc. They regularly organize events. A minimum of 5 events is to be organized by each club in the entire year. Also, VIT has two fests. One is Gravitas, which is a technical one, where the clubs organize workshops and technical events. The other is Riviera, which is the third-largest fest in terms of scale in the entire country. It is a cultural fest where renowned artists come to perform on the campus.

The fee structure is based on your ranking in the entrance exam. If your ranking is more than you can pay higher to get a seat in the desired branch. The higher the ranking the more expensive the seat becomes. The basic Tuition fees range from 2.2 lakh to 5 lakh. Based on your ranking.

There are scholarships provided by the college if you secure a rank between 1-50 in the college entrance exam. There are other exams and hackathons conducted by colleges for such scholarships. If someone secures a good rank, they are extended a scholarship.

The labs are well equipped with all facilities. Extracurricular exposure and facilities are far superior to any other college. The clubs provide ample opportunity for students to learn new things and participate in a lot of extracurricular activities.

The hostel facilities are decent. However, there are other colleges where hostel amenities are superior. Hostels in VIT are managed properly however but the infrastructure can be improved vastly. The rooms are not enough spacious and the washrooms are common on every floor.

The seniors are very helpful. However, the alumni network is not so strong. The seniors always act as a mentor and help fellow juniors as far as possible. They brief us and help us with the right teachers and decisions to be made in the college

To get admission to the Vellore Institute of technology, students have to appear for an entrance exam called VITEEE. After securing a rank in the exam. Students are called to the campus of the college for the allotment of their branch. Based on your rank you get your desired branch.

The faculty is well qualified and educated. They try to impart the best of their knowledge and experience to all the students. There are certain faculties that are strict with their marking and leniency.
