Being one of the oldest Engineering colleges in the country, boasting of 80 years of academic excellence, famous and respected list of aluminies from E Sreedharan to Nambi narayanan, it is a privilege to be part of this wonderful institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college comes under the APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University. It follows a well structured and new revised curriculum with an emphasis on practical skills and focus on entrepreneurship. It has an eight semester program. Each semester spanning roughly 5 months culminating with semester exams. A 2/3 month summer vacation enable the students to do internships and summer courses.

Placement Experience

The college has a dedicated and highly active placement cell, which boasts of 100 percent placement among eligible students in the past few years. Eminent companies including Amazon, Microsoft, Rolls Royce, Bosch, Adobe etc have recruited students in the past academic year. The college also provides internship opportunities for pre final year students. There are unpaid and paid internships. With private companies like UST global and Quest global providing paid internships with stipend ranging from 5000-10000Rs. While the govt agencies like kseb, keltron etc provides internship that are generally unpaid.

College Events

All major festivals and national events are celebrated in the college. Along with that various cultural arts and sports events are organised in the college spread throughout the academic year. The main college Festival are the arts fest called Dhwani, one of the largest college fests in South India. Organised in the month of March it witnesses large footfall from all across the South and beyond. It headlines performances from top artists from India and abroad as well. The next major programme is the technical festival Dhrishti, it features various technical events, competitions and exhibitions. Adding to it there are various department and inter department festivals to keep the students engaged and entertained throughout their college life.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The specified fee structure mandated by the government is 8825Rs per semester. Including exam fees and other additional charges it amounts to about 10000 rupees per semester. Considering other colleges it is very cheap.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are lot of scholarships and grants available for students from the economical backward classes. These amounts to partial to complete exemption from paying fees. There are also other facilities like book banks and step4u programs to help the needy. Also for meritorious students CETAA scholarships are awarded annually.

Campus Life

The labs and workshops are one of the oldest and well equipped and maintained. The college boasts of a very good physical education department with very experienced faculties. There is facility for most games including football, cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball, softball, table tennis etc. There is an indoor stadium that can host various tournaments along with a floodlit turf for basketball and volleyball. There is also a gymnasium available for the students. All these facilities are available 24/7.

Alumni/Alumna

The college boasts of a huge network of aluminies spread across the world. The alumni association CETAA has regular meetings and provides various scholarship programmes as well as mentoring sessions. Also they provide with various helps with academic and infrastructure developments.

Admission

The admission process is through KEAM, Kerala engg entrance exam. One needs to get the top ranks to enter into CET, generally within 500 will ensure a seat in the top branches. The KEAM is scheduled in the month of April every year and the admission processes starts by the end of June. The classes start by late July.

Faculty

The college boasts of the best and finest faculties in their respective areas. Especially the core subject faculties are the one can find in the state. Even the guest lecturers are highly qualified and competent.

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
