Computer Engineering in Nirma University

Attendance rule is very strict. It can be reduced and also encourage students to do more coding in CS / IT branch. Good facilities of Wifi and Library. Whole Library System is online and most books are available.

Course Curriculum is well balanced. In first year it contains subjects like Communication Skills , Critical thinking etc. After that courses related to programming will be taught. In every semester the exam structure is : 2 mid - sem exams , 1 lab exam and 1 final exam.

Placements and job opportunities are very good in the college. Companies like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs , Amazon , Deutsche Bank , Samsung , HSBC came for placements and internships. Most of the students from batch were placed in good companies.

There many events celebrated in the college. which includes republic day celebration , Yoga day etc. Also in events like Horizon there were good music concerts, dance competitions , fashion shows. Also Sports competition at institute and university levels were held.

Fee structure is expensive as compared to other colleges. At our time it was 1,40,000 per year. The fees are expensive as compared other government colleges in the state. But many people do get scholarship from college and government.

Nirma University provides scholarship both Merit and Merit cum means salary. In merit salary top 5 students were getting 1,00,000 scholarship , next 20 students get 90,000 scholarship and next 25 students gets 50,000 scholarship.

Labs facilities are good. Each lab is Air conditioned and contains all equipment s in all labs for Cs / IT , Mechanical labs. Large cricket and football ground is also present. Also volleyball court , table tennis courts is also present in the campus.

No, I don't opted for Hostel. i am leaving in Ahmedabad and college is also in Ahmedabad. So i was leaving in my home. But there is not hostel facilities for B.tech student in Nirma. So all student need to find some pg / flat neat the college.

Yes seniors are very helpful in both extracurricular activity and preparing for placements of various companies.Some seniors held session for how to prepare for placements. Various coding contest and mock placements sessions are arranged by the seniors.

I got admission using acpc merit list (based on board marks + jee marks). In Nirma Univerity there is 50% seats for acpc , 35% for all india , 15% for NRI quota. For admission through acpc normally 3-4 rounds are conducted.

Faculty are very good in CS / it department. Some faculty are having good experience around 20 years in teaching. They guide very well in major projects also they help when you are preparing for placements or doing any personal projects.
