Pros and cons of NITW

I chose this civil course cause there is no other option left for me. But , the curriculum prepares you well for real world applications. I think the grading system should be absolute grading system so that there will be motivation to study more. The frequency of timing of exams is different for different subjects. Some of them take tests rigourously.

From the 7th semester the college placements begin. We have got top companies like google , microsoft , oracle , godrej . There are some other companies as well but not that popular as the above. The highest package is around 40lakhs and average package is around 14 to 15 lakhs. And the percentage of students placed is around 45%. My plans after degree is to write government exams.

Year wise i paid around 1 lakh. The tuition fee is 21k and the hostel fee is around 20k. The remainig extra fee are around 32k. Scholarships are availbale for the forreign students. As i belong to the open category , but as i have ews certificate the tuition fee is around 21k for me. For foreign students the tuition fee is around 60k and hostel fee is around 50k.

There will be a fest called spring spree which will be around april or may. And that is the best fest that happens in the college when compared to technozion ( which is the other fest ). There will be wide range of books and you can take any book to study. There will be ac classrooms in some departments and seminar halls.

Hostel facility is good. But the mess quality and mess food is worst for me. Except for few days , the reamining days have the worst mess food. 1st years live in 1.8k , 2nd years live in blocks. 3rd and 4th years live in 1k.

I choose this college over others as this college is good in civil engineering course. I did get admissions in top colleges like NIT TRICHY AND NIT ROURKELA but i got lower branches like metallurgy and bio technology. The exams accepted for admission in this college is your jee mains rank and score. With good score and rank u can get good course in our college.

The faculty to student relationship is quite good. Some of the faculty are really good and they support you no matter what. For our batch , the grading system is relative grading system. And for some subjects there are some faculty who take very rigorus tests and give rigorous assignments.

There are 3 gyms in the campus. One is in 1.8k hostel , one is in 1k hostel , and the other in physical education department. The hostel timings are flexible but no body is allowed to go outside the campus after 12. There are multiple hangout places like timesquare , and some greenery areas in the college.
