Dislikes
- Some faculties just use ppt to teach and some information was found wrong. Well this is for only some of them because other faculties are really good.
- Some of the events this year was found boring and not creative.
Course Curriculum Overview
The specific aspects is that microbiology is a well developing scope of science in the world. We know how important this subject was when Covid had come to the world. It is related to this subject and find it's relevance everywhere. The course curriculum had started with basics of microbiology and microbial techniques later getting deeper into the subject. The syllabus is set by our college faculties and department head and it is very relevant for future studies. Improvement is needed in teaching methods. Otherwise it's a good place and subject. We get enough time to prepare and write the exams. The papers are usually not difficult if you've prepared we'll. It is on a moderate level.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of reputed companies associated with the college. Right now I am in 1st year and we still need time to develop our silks before taking an internship. From what I have heard, many students haven't got top notch companies in basis of their skills
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees I paid was Rupees 90,000. This fees includes everything. The admission was an online procedure. We were asked about our information and were asked to submit the required documents in soft copy. The registration fees was rupees 800. The admission fees I paid was rupees 5000. The required things for the lab sessions have to be bought by us. The lab manuals will be provided by the college department. My batchmates fees is almost the same but for others it's depending on the state or country they belong to. Students from different states or foreign students have to pay the extra fees accordingly. There are various scholarships available for students and financial aid is provided by the jesuit community to the students when addressed while praying the fees. The payment of fees was in online mode.
Campus Life
Pratibha fest was in September and Swagat that is fresher's day was also near to the month mentioned. The college has the bestest library with huge varities of books and publications all over the country. It has books subjectwise in separate cupboards. It has a beautiful digital library facility with numerous computers. A lot of journals and books are available in the library. There are a lot of publications and books written by the campus teachers and students. The classrooms are well ventilated and spacious with comfortable desks and chairs. It is well equipped with projectors and good technology aspects. The labs too are well equipped. The college's highlight is its sports department. It has various sports departments with well trained and experienced coaches for the betterment of the student's skills. The practice sessions start from 7 in the morning. The extracurricular activities are various competitions and fests in which students can showcase their talent and their passion and the college supports young talents to participate and win. There are some clubs and associations run by students which helps then when leadership skills and helps us to relax and learn new things.
Admission
Actually I was sure of choosing my college and I wanted to always study in St. Joseph's University itself. Just for a back-up, I wanted to apply in Christ University as well but by the time I apply, the admissions were closed. The admission process of my college is online. The registration fees is rupees 800. The required documents and details are asked. Later after college starts, we were supposed to take our original documents for verification and later our college ID card was given based on this criteria. For my course, there was no entrance exam. Some courses had basic entrance exams based on the subject accordingly. The overall admission procedure was smooth.
Faculty
The faculties and students relationship is good. They're very friendly and sweet. They are very approachable and we can comfortably ask them questions and they solve our doubts in the best way possible. I love all the faculties actually because each one has one unique quality in them which makes things possible and happy in the classes and college. The faculties I don't like are not many at all. Well the reason is because they read the content from the ppt and not explain properly. There are overall six semesters and each semester is for 6 months. Each semester has 2 exams. One is the midsem exam and the other is the end sem exam. The exams are on a moderate level and almost all students pass these exams. There are practical exams too for the subjects having lab. These are held before end sem exams. The course curriculum is set up by the college and it is we'll designed
Night Life
There are a lot of hangout spots outside college. One thing I wanna mention is our college canteen is also really good. There is a Richmond park near to the college campus. There is a juice shop near to the college and it's really famous. Campus timings are flexible. The locality is really safe to roam around in the night. The neighborhood is good. There are rolls shops just opposite to the college and they're a must to taste.
