- The college is very disciplined, and except 1-2 faculty rest are friendly.
- Value\ Scenario based questions are asked in exams.
- The girl to boy ratio is about 3:7 which is good considering a pg technical course.
Dislikes
- The number of subjects are too much. Total 8 subjects.
- A lot of pressure is given to the students.
- First Semester is completed in just 4 months.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is mostly up to date and for sure it will help for the placements. There are some topics that are relevant nowadays some technology's are not used in majority of companies and they should be discarded. Exam are held in every 1.5 month and the level of examinations are in medium to higher side all the questions are value based questions. Faculty suit also teach how to answer the questions that are being asked in the examinations and not just make us know the theory
Placement Experience
From 3rd semester placements are eligible around 870 companies visited for placement in 2024. packages is from about for 4 lpa to 16 LPA. Placements from company companies like IBM TCS Amazon Microsoft come from here. I will try some placements or try for any IT government job
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly I have to pay 1.4 lakhs as tution fees for my MCA. No other extra fees. No reservation system on caste basis. Scholarship is for those who can get 9+ cgpa. Hostel fee depends , mine is 1.4lakh (6 bed ac)
Campus Life
Campus is very nice, open , greenery. But a lot of crowd is there. Yes various clubs are there. Yes journals are available in the library. Some sports tools are available . 80% faculties use the smart board for teaching. Life is hectic
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are average we get free laundry but it is far from the men hostel building. Also the room cleaning is not by default we have to make request then they come to clean it in the next day (also the cleaning staffs ask for tips), so we do our cleaning by ourself. There is a normal and cold water for drinking. Also there is geyser for warm water bath. Each block has an inbuilt grocery shop for the students.
Admission
This college is one of the best for Masters in computer application and also the fees is considerable being a private college. Placement trade some nice of this college and when compared to other college the fees are high. BIT meshra is also very nice college but it has higher fees. Admission process is very easy in vit college, we just have to secure our rank under 300 for (Vellore campus) and under 700-800 for other campuses in VITMEE mcq based exam
Faculty
Faculty to students ration is around 1:50. Except 1-2 faculty, Rest are approachable and supportive for the students. Seetha Maam is too nice taught us DSA in C (teach from basics and easy to approach) Vijay Rani maan is nightmare for all the students taught us JAVA ( sticked to the rules only, no human feelings, like Robot) . Total 3 exams(( CAT 1,CAT2(openBook) and FAT(wholeSyllabus)) + 2 class mcq quizes + 1to 2 Digital assignments)
Night Life
Men hostel closing timing is 8 pm and female hostel timing is 7:00 p.m. We can go to the golden temple or the fort for hangout outside the campus. In inside, I don't have much idea. One Gym is free rest are paid.
