A complete description of College life in MSIT.

The specific aspects of curriculum include the minor specialization it offers in machine laerning and its industrial approach. The curriculum preoares well for the industrial world. The mid sems are held 1-1.5 months after start of sem meanwhile other exams like practicals are also held.

The college hosts a number of programme where you can apply and get internships. The college offers internship opportunities in across all sectors including technology as well as electric and electronics also. The tech companies look for either full stack developer while machine leanring engineers also. In the electric and electronics companies you get to work at summer training programmes as trainees. The projects revolve around to figure real life tasks like websites related to daily life the machine learning algorithms and approach in daily lives.

Students after entering the 7th semester become eligible in the campus placements . Almost all companies all tech giants like Amazon , Microsoft ,Scneider electric come. If we see the data then there are approx 600 students and around 480-510 offers are made. In the year of 2022 the highest package was of 1.7 crore and average package was around 12 lakhs while in 2023 the highest package was of 80 lakhs and average was 11 lakhs . The 2024 placements are yet to be completed. My plans are to get placed with around 50-55 lakhs package.

The year wise fees is approx 1,50,000 for general category students. I cannot comment on the fees of other category of students. The tuition fees is approx Rs. 1,25,000 and the rest part fall under various parts. Also in the furst year they charge a security deposit of Rs. 10,000 which accounts for any damage caused by student for example in lab any equipment gets damaged then the cost will be recovered by security deposit.

There are generally 2 fests held one is of the college which happens around March and the other is of GGSIPU AnuGoonj which happens in February. While a number of tech hackathons happen across the year. Almost all good books are there in the library. The classrooms have projectors and controllers and are well equipped. Sports and extracurricular can be improved . There are significant amount of student clubs which look to serve the whole personality of students.

I got admission earlier in BVCOE in EEE department but I chose to go in MSIT because of a better placement opportunity here. The admission process is simple. You have to give JEE MAINS exam and score decent over there and then you apply in the GGSIPU portal which then selects you as per the criteria and offers you the admission. If you manage to get a rank under 150000-200000.

The faculty on a majority basis is good and supportive. The faculty to student ratio in EEE is 1:40 and in other departments like CS it would be around 1:50/60. The faculties are very approachable. The faculty I liked is Mr. Sachit Rathi as he is great in nature and is the placement head so thoroughly he guides the students accordingly. There are 2 exams mid sems and end sems.

Almost inside the college activities are not that captivating but the college hosts a good location and therefore the outside fun activities are great The college canteen is good and outside there are a number of cafes which host a great student gathering.
