What Students Say
Likes
- Infrastructure, facilities are top notch. One won’t complain for the facilities available like 2 cafeterias, library, residencies are all well managed.
- Faculties are educated and are mostly PhDs. All the courses are designed in a way to provide practical knowledge more than theoretical learning.
- Environment is quite positive and supportive. Seniors are very good and give useful advices when asked for.
Dislikes
- Wifi is not very reliable. Every other day their wifi messes up our online works.
- Food is overall good except for South Indian cuisine.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course outline is quite exclusive, includes all the aspects including practical and theoretical aspects. Usually assignments are in form of presentations where students have to present on a topic in group improving their soft skills like confidence building, team work and leadership. Sone assignments also include research work and writing research papers.
Internships Opportunities
Within the college there is not much opportunity for intersndhip but availability of career advancement cell assists in individual's exposure to industry. They help students to secure placements and develop relaxant skills for the field.
Placement Experience
As I am in 1st semester right now, we have nitnem provided with any assistance yet but despite being in just first semester, I have 2 internships already in real companies through university. These internships are useful for experience that will help in securing a job in future. There is a career advancement cell dedicated for the placement and internship assistance for students. That is very active for students from second year to final year. Constantly guiding students for the career path.
Fees and Financial Aid
My fee is 2.5 lacs per semester and hostel fee is 1.5 lacs per smemester for bsc hins psychology course for 8 semesters. Yes, there are scholarships available as well for the students. Scholarships can be given on the basis of merit only
Campus Life
Campus life includes clubs, friends which is a very good environment in this university. Since it is a new u overworked new clubs are being formed constantly. All he students are indulges in different campaigns organised by clubs. There are clubs like dance, music, entrepreneurship, finance, football, badminton, literary cart etc. these makes the campus life very entertaining. 2 cultural feats gets organised in the university every year. Fest are not of very big scale and hi stay we're not very enjoyable, recently in fest jassi gill and Gourav Kapoor were invited but the fest was mot much of the entertainment.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are maintained in well mannered however, washrooms do not stay very clean. There's a cleaner that comes in morning for cleaning the rooms. Students quite hours are well respected, everybody gets warned if they gets too loud after 11pm. There's a microwave available on every floor in hostel. But any electronic device like straightener, hair dryer is not allowed in rooms.
Admission
I chose this university as it offered 50% scholarship to me. Along with the industry exposure that it provides all the gues lecturers are real time industry workers guiding us in oh interested fields. Inspire of being expensive college, the facilities that it offers is justifiable. Admission process was very easy, an admission consultant was assigned to me who was with me in every step of my application process. There is one application form to fill then give an aptitude test followed by personal interview. After all this if one is selected, you can visit the campus before submitting the fees. I applied in other colleges as well in Bangalore, one of them was less expensive but the quality of education and security that Rishihood offers is exceptional.
Faculty
I have 6 subjects and faculties are excellent except of 2. Especially one in the foundation course that is mandatory for all the students of all courses, she makes the lecture boring and all the students are mostly sleepy during her lecture. Other one is Mohit sir that teachs so well and make the subject interesting and experiential. Includes every student through various class activities like debates, presentations which are actually interesting listen to. Exams are conducted twice in a semester. One is mid-Sen exams and other one in end sem. Sometimes class tests also happen but they are rare in my course.
Night Life
There's a curfew in night at 11:00 pm. Students cannot get out of their residencies after 11pm. For girls, they are not even allowed to change floors after 11 which is annoying and frustrating as it becomes a tough task to meet our friends from other floors. Girls require permission from warden to change floors within the hostel building. But there's no such rule for boys hostel. They can move within building anytime. However getting out of building is inhibited to them too.
