Likes
- College campus is too good and it is in 49 acres of land. There are 3 main buildings named as Main building ,PG block and Savitribai phoole block.
- The Staff is too supportive and gives us regular update of all necessary things.
- For every 40 students , there is a mentor teacher. If any body has a problem, they talk to there mentor.
Dislikes
- Main thing i dislike is that there is no student election in my college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I recently preparing for JEE exam, but my percentile is too low, so i just take admission in b.sc physics , after completion of my course , I will give IIT JAM exam, which is for M.Sc in specific subject in IIT. College is fully supporting me in my studies. There is some other bad things , not in college but in NEP 2020 (govt. Of India) that other minor subject like zoology, EVS are tought to a physics major student.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am a student of B.Sc. major in physics , and i paid INR 6670 for my 1st year as I am a General category student. In my class, my friend belongs to SC category, he paid approx INR 6100. Yes scholarship will provided by government of haryana and India, college also provide scholarship, issued by its alumni and college staff. For government scholarship : CATEGORY. AMOUNT. REQUIREMENT SC. 12000. only for sc All. 12000. Need 80%+ All. 75000. B.sc stu. + 80% .... and many more scholarship. Good thing is that college will update you regularly for every scholarship. This college is one of the highest scholarship gaining college in whole Haryana. Campus is good and it is in 49 acres. The fee increases every year slightly like 100 to 200 INR.
Campus Life
There are many festivals are celebrated in campus, includes Youth festival ,EVS eco club fest , Day long bazzar, fair well..... etc. There are 2 libraries in campus one for girls , one for boys. Approx. All books are available. There are many smart rooms in campus. College provide all stuff for sports also. There are many external student unions in the college.
Admission
As my percentage in 12th is 74% , so I applied for many college include GC hisar, DN hisar , JAT college hisar, by my preference is GC hisar. I apply for other option because GC hisar cuttoff will go too much high. In merit list above 95 percent in 12th boards students are selected . My admission is taken via physical council for leftover seats. There is no entrance exam , admission is taken on behalf of 12th boards percentage.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is approximate 1:45. There is a mentor teacher on every 40 students. If any body has a problem , he can go to their mentor. I like my mentor Mr. K.S. gill , he is very supportive. There are Unit tests , Semester exams , twice a year. Some students those who are not comming regularly , some of them fails in examination. The course is relevent for me, there is a practical class / lab on every day.
Interview Experience
No there is no entrance exam for admission. Admission is on the basis of 12th board percentage means admission is merit based. For GC Hisar, cut-off is too high. Approx. 90%+ needed to get admission in college. Otherwise you need to go on physical council for left over seat.
Night Life
There is hostel for girls only in the college campus. But there are many PG in front of college. Library is open till 6 PM. Cafetaria is too large. Open till 6 PM. Public area like sports ground always open. Whole campus is safe as Haryana police, Durga shakti haryana police comes in college full day to ensure safety of students and girls.
