Course Curriculum Overview

2

Course was average. It seems that it is related to computer so it would be relevant but it is not. i chose this cause because other alternative was chemistry which I hated and i didn't got computer science because seats were full. Curriculum doesn't prepare u for anything if u have real interest in computer you can go forward by doing masters and net but this course has no meaning in my opinion because in computer related course they were teaching us 4 maths subjects. Areas for improvement I think should be to re design and structure the subjects if i am studying computer it should be computer not any physics or maths and teaching should be more practical than theory. Exams held every 6 months in may and December. Overall difficulty moderate because checking was strict from university

Fees and Financial Aid

During my first year I paid 5400 rs as the annual fees. There were some concessions for sc/st students. One of my sc friend paid 4800 rs. scholarship were there for all categories for general category it was pose scholarship I don't know the exact amount for sc/st category it was 12000 rs per year

Campus Life

3

There are annual sports events that take place in a span of 4-5 months from September to January. Annual athletic meet is scheduled in december every year. There is youth festival in October or November month. Small level functions happen throughout the year. Books related to courses are typically available in the library fiction books are less mostly course related material is available. Classroom are simple with wooden benches and fans with some classes equipped with smart boards. On campus no sports facilities available but during inter college tournaments they make teams and make them practice for less than a week thats all for sports facilities. No student run groups or stuffs just ncc and nss in college

Admission

I applied for this college , dn college and gju university. I didn't get admission in gju because cutoff was 95% and I got 90.8%. i got seat in dn college but is declined it because that college was small and Atmosphere was not good also govt college had less fees therefore I chose govt college. I faced rejection from gju university because due to covid entrance test didn't happen and admission was given on 12th percentage and I got 90.8% while cutoff was 95%. Admission process is simple in my college. Govt college are chains of connected college in state . You have to apply on one website and the college decides cutoff and u get admission based on 12th percentage. 2 merit lists are made available and then physical counseling for left over seats. For post graduate courses graduation percentage is considered. Overall admission is smooth if u get name in merit list and u may have to run here and there in physical counseling

Faculty

3

The faculty for our course that is computer applications is Excellent. We were a class a 50 of which 10 had dropped out . So there were different teachers for each subjects. The faculty was approachable and solved our doubts and helped in exam preparation. the best faculty I think was yashwant sir because he didn't force us for attendance and also gave good marks in internal assessment. We did not liked shobit sir from physics faculty because irrespective of full attendance and assignments and tests given he gave very low internal marks that's why most students got backlog. There were 8 exams in each semester with practical exams scheduled once a year in even semester so making 10 exams in even semester. Exams are moderate to clear. Approx 70% students get backlog very low passing ratio. Course curriculum is quite irrelevant because In this developing AI ecosystem we were learning basic C language codes

If i talk about my couse then i study in bsc (medical) which is a good course, we studies botany, zoology, chemistry, physics also we are nep student so we study more subject. By studying bsc we came to know my real life experiment like knowing about species, real life incidents etc. I suggest my teaching staff that they have to focus more in practical classes not on theory classes because students are more interested in them.

1) Placement drive portal is open for stdents from their 5th semester (for 3-year student) or 7th (for 4-year student) and is available for UG and Pg, the latter of which can apply anytime during their second year. 2) Recruitment companies which I've noticed during drives are Amazon, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, Coca-cola, McKinsey, Airtel, etc. 3) The highest packages which are around 45 LPA is mostly given to B.Tech and MBA students.
