Good????

The curriculum is just fine. I choosed BA with economics honours as i have a keen interest in economics and the faculty further increaded my interest in it by connecting things with the practical aspects. If the professors teaches well then it preapres us well for real world applicability but if professor does not teach students with that vigour or practicality in their subject then it is of no use in real life. So, it all depends on the professor and their teaching method. The exams are quite frequent . We have our semester exams after 4 or 5 months from the beginning of the semester. And in between them we have to give the mid-semester examinations as well. The level if examination is moderate. If one studies well the she can do great in the examination.

I am paying 12000Rs per semester so 24000Rs per year. One has to additional increased examination of fees that can be around 500 to 1200 Rs according to one's subjects. Student with practical subject has to pay 1200Rs approx and student without practical have to pay 500 to 600Rs. There is a scholarship available only for meritorious students and there is a ling document verification process.

My overall experience of camous life was really great. There are various events held at my campus like freshers party and farewell party for each course. Then there are GCG 11 fiesta organised by our college's event managemnt team. There are many other events held by the specific departments like Philosphy fest, Geography fest,etc. These are held by every department. For these each department was alloted a day by the college. They mainly in even semester. There is a separate department of sports in the college and its faculty is also good. There held an annual sports meet every year. The sports student take part in various sports events held near the college at inter college level and state and national levels. The college also has various clubs that comes forward in organisng various events for creating awareness among students.

The college also privides hostel facility. The each room is alloted to two students and there is also a balcony in each room. Each room has two beds, two study tables, two almirahs and a tubelight and one ceiling fan. The hostel mess is also good. The food is not as delecious as we get at our home but it is good as compared to other college hostels. One has to pay the security of 4-6k per year. The mess charges are 3100Rs per month. The hostel is alloted to students on merit basis. The locality near college is good. Various pg are available. But they are expensive as comapred to hostel. Pg will cost around 15000 per month.

I applied for other branches of this college in chandigarh like post graduate government college sector 11, post graduate government college sector 42 and post graduate government college for girls sector 46 chandigarh. And i got confirmation from all of them but i choose post graduate government college for girls sector 11 chandigarh because it is the most good one among all. My college gave admission on merit basis and merit cut off varies from course to course. For BA it went approximately to 80 to 85%

The faculty of the college is really good. They are easily approachable. Some professors like ms. Gunjan mam, Ajay kumar sharma sir, anoop kataria sir, dipankar sukul sir, anusha prashar mam, and many more professors are really good, they does not only provide the knowledge needed for our exams but also shares there experiences of life and various things. They guide their students at every step. But there are also some professors who are not that good. They only repeat what is written in book or just translate that in hindi which makes the class really boring and ineffective. There is a semester system and minimum 5 exams and maximum 8 to 10 as per the subjects chosen by the student. Most of the students passed the exams.

In the college campus, there is a nescafe, fruits shop, canteen, and other street food shops. They closes at 5-6 pm. The night life near college is quite good there is a market where students can chill after tiring classes. There is also a gym in the college campus itself which closes at 6pm.
