Course Curriculum Overview

4

In the first year usually all branches have common subjects which one or two subjects varying according to their department. Computer Science and Engineering is highly tech related branch with most of the subjects related to the growing technology such as ML, webdev etc. I chose this branch because of my personal interest in coding and tech field and due to its placement reviews.Dtu provides a competitive coding environment which helps you to focus more on your skills and grow alongside competitng with your peers. Frequency of exams depends on the course and professor but usually class tests are taken to maintain the regular study environment. Timings of exams might be in the morning from 10 am or in the evening from 2 pm depending on the year and subject.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. Multiple MNCS and major companies visit our campus such as Google, Microsoft ,Adobe etc. and offer amazing packages. Tech companies usually prefer the tech branches of our college but we also have many core and non tech companies visiting out college. As per the statistics highest placement went around 85lpa and average for cse is about 20lpa. Percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and also cgpa. I will sit for placements after getting the degree or maybe opt for masters. Placement statistics are very good and if you have a good cgpa and resume then there are high chances you get placed in one of the top companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

DTU fee structure varies year by year. For B.Tech- Tutiton fees is about Rs.1,47,300/Yr Student Welfare fees( co-curricular etc) is Rs. 20,000/Yr Facilities and Service Charges are Rs. 36,000/Yr It also provides Economically weaker section funds Rs.10,000/Yr Examination Fees- Rs.15,000/Yr Medical Facilities- Rs 700/Yr This totals upto to Rs 2,29,000/Yr And it increases year by year. Similarly for other courses such as B.Des The total fees is about Rs.2,29,000 The fees varies for M.Tech, foreign students etc and can be viewed on the official website. DTU provides multiple scholarships for different Management caterogies such as SC,ST etc. It also offers merit based scholarships.

Campus Life

5

DTU has multiple fests all over the year, Engifest and Yuvaan being the major ones. We also have techfest Invicitus and students from all over India attend these fests. Engifest is usually held in february with many artists such as Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan being the top performers. Library has all the kinds of books , journals and research papers related to every branch and every department. Library is located in the center of the campus and provides a variety of books. Classrooms are well equiped with ACs, projectors and proper whiteboards. Sports compex of DTU is one of the major attraction of the campus. It provides facilities and grounds for all the sports from Badminton, Basketball , Volleyball to even open Gym and closed gym. We have indoor and outdoor badminton courts, table tennis facility etc. There are many clubs and societies of different kinds from music society to tech clubs to dance societies and even robotics, underwater vehicles etc for interests of all kinds of students. You can join the students through their recruitment procedures.

Admission

I chose this college because of the location which is Delhi. Being in Delhi we get a lot of opportunities to attend many events which happen around of many major companies. I applied for all the other colleges and did not get any rejection, but chose DTU because of its location and placement statistics. One of the major reason of chosing this colleges was also the personality developement and skills you can grow through various socities here. Admission into DTU happens via JAC counselling which considers the results of JEE Mains. Different branches have different cut off ranks and it fluctuates every year according to the number of applicants. Usually for CSE the cutoff remains around 99 percentile in jee mains but might also vary with time. If followed the instructions and steps carefully the admission process is very easy and does not require any extra efforts. I was getting other colleges in Delhi as well as colleges through JOSAA counselling as well but due to the above mentioned reasons I chose DTU.

Faculty

4

Faculty is quite good. There are highly qualified professors and PhD scholars in various subjects and domains. Each faculty is qualified in their own subjects and also offer helps in any academic related queries. In 1st,2nd Year we usually have 6-7 subjects which include one elective subject as an additional. From 3rd,4th years you have to opt minor subjects in your department as well as general elective. Faculties are approachable. We have two exams in each semester, mid sems and end sems. Practicals and lab assements are included in the endsems and regular assignements and class tests are taken to keep the students updated with what is being taught in the classes. Usually clearing any exam is not that tough unless you get very low marks otherwise teachers also do lineant marking if some student is failing by 1-2 marks. Course curriculum is quite relevant, from first year itself we are been taught subjects related to our department.

Night Life

5

Night life in DTU is very beautiful. The campus looks very pretty with proper street lights all over the campus. There are multiple food joints all around the campus from vegetables to even Dominos. We have separate gyms for boys and girls. And areas such as OAT are places of gathering and enjoying. We have 3 girls hostel and around 10 boys hostel from acs to non acs. Campus usually does not allow students to exit or enter after 9pm but for valid reasons it isnt an issue. After 9pm you can enjoy the campus life if youre a hosteler. The campus is very safe with security guards everywhere and famous joints include Open air theatre(OATs), multiple food joins, hpmc etc.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements
