My university is the first Central university of Madhyapradesh. The founder of this university Dr. Hari Singh Gour spent their entire life to establish this university so that the central india could get the best education hub in Madhyapradesh.

There is semester pattern instead of year wise structure. Each semester consits of two mid exams each of the have 20 marks each and the final exam consits of 60 marks. The minimum passing marks for the semester are 40 marks.

There is M.tech programme for the students of Geology stream in the Geology department. Pharmacy department is one of the highly prestigious department known for the best placements all over the India with some of the students are representing India in the Foreign Countries.

There are many events being celebrated in my University. GOUR JAYANTI is one of the mega events organized in the campous in the month of November every year. University has celebrated Convocation programme in march this year.

This university is one of the most affordable universities in India. With the minimum fee Cost for a semester the annual cost stands less than rupees ?10000 INR. The Backward and SC , ST students have to pay no money for their studies.

My university offers the following scholarships for the students : 1.central scholarships, 2.state scholarships , 3.girlchild scholarships , 4. scholarships for minorities 5.central sector scholarship scheme for excellentstudents 6. scholarships for research students. Amd many scholarship schemes are functional here.

Every department of this University has separate Labs for practicals, NCC and NSS services are here. Music and cultural activities , regional cultural programmesare organized every year. University has a beautiful cricket ground as well.

My university is the Residential University with all the facilities. It has five boys hostels each for UG, PG and Research students with one hostel for SC, ST students. There are separate Hostels for girl students as well. Two hostels are under construction.

There is an alumminy meet organized every year to gather all the seniors at one place and celebrate thier sucess and we invite them to direct the juniors about the journey of upcoming future. The meet is one of the successful events of the university.

There is an entrance exam which is organized each year to get admission in my University. There is an entrance exam for each of the stream. Undergraduate, postgraduate , PhD and research programmes are available here on the basis of merit in the entrance exam.

My University is a central University with the highly qualified teaching faculty having foreign teaching experiences. My University has been rated grade A by the NAAC team in the academic year of 2019-20.
