Remarks

There are many positives to look at . Academics , Placements , Faculty , fests etc. Any serious candidate will love to join. Few demerits are there like food and hostels but each college do have them.

Really knowledgeable course structure. It's tough but after you pass college there a lot of experience and this will help in your career. The course is similar to IITs

Internships Opportunities

73 companies came including big names like Honda , Microsoft and Facebook. Salary offered varies from 7 lakhs to 25 lakhs. Great intern experience to have.

Placement Experience

Placement options are enormous . There are three categories of companies. Dream jobs are high paying jobs and each one gets one dream job and 2 regular jobs.

College Events

Techfest celebrated during the month of November and technical fest in the month of March . Fashion shows . Dance , Music etc. are very good and several singers and bands also come.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Total sem. cost is around 90 thousand per semester. Including fooding and lodging. Sem fee is 48k . Plus different expenses adds up to 90k.

Campus Life

We have sports clubs, robotics club , management club, workshops of all branches dedicated computer labs and every other academic and extra facilities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are up to mark . Though food is not good . It's edible but barely someone finds its tasty.

We have dedicated alumni portal to connect with each other. There are several seniors who are at topmost positions in their respective fields and we are happy to be in contact.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is best in nature . In each semester we get 1 mid terms and 1 finals. Assignments and projects are part of exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
