Course Curriculum Overview
The branch entry wil be done only after 1st year according to curriculam.Hence if you find it difficult you have option to chnage the branch after the first year.The college curriculam is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka,India.The course I chose was ECE it also has highest Ph.D holders among all other department in our college.
Placement Experience
The plaacement is modrate in the college. The students are given training started from 6th semester. if no employement is offered in the current academic year.the students will updated about the companies visiting the next academic year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid around Rs100000 as my college fees every year. Which includes college fees,vtu examination fees,lab fees,development fees. For the categories like SC/ST it is Rs500 per year. For the SNQ Quota students the fees is Rs4090 and the college development charges. College also provide seperate hostels for both boys and girls within the campus. Hostel fees comes around 75000(35000 for Lodging+40000 for Diet charges) and Caution fees of Rs5000 which will be refunded after vacating the hostel. The college will also helps us in getting the scholarships from the state and central government schemes.At the end of the year the rank holders from each and every department will be falicitated with certifications and prize money to encourage them.
Campus Life
Every year the state level Annual cultural fest SANCHALANA will be conducted various events will be organised and winners will be awarded with price money and trophies. The state level Technical fest TECH VIDYA will be organised by one of department to explore tech knowledge and innovations.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room is avilable is 3 sharing and will be provided with locker.Quality of food is good and menu is decided by the students itself and it will be changed once in every 3 months.The fees of hostel is 75000 and it is bit expensive compared to PG outside.
Admission
I have applied all the top colleges in Karnataka namely RV college,M S Ramaiah College of Engineering,BMSCE though the seat allotment was done according to the KCET Rankings hence I could not get those above mentioned colleges.I chose this college because this college is run by the management which consist of renowed professors who have vast teaching experience in teaching field.admission eligibility is through KCET,COMED-K or Mangement qouta.Most students join through KCET and mangement quota. The KCET cutoff comes around 85000 every year with few changes in every year.
Faculty
I was at Electronics and Communication Department.It had a very good faculty to student ratio it was around 1:30.Each and every classroom is fitted with 24/7 CCTV cameras . The Teaching and also the lab sessions was top notch and also the examination point of view. they even thought about out of syllabus knowledge. and also part that is to be concentrated more from examination point of view. The Internal assesment exams will be easy to clear for the average students. If in case if you miss examination for any medical emergency reason. you will be provided with additional question paper to get the average for the final exam and it will be monitored strictly.
Night Life
The Gym opens up early will be available till late evenings. Library will be closed at 5PM on regular days. during examination to help students to study the library hours will be extended till 8PM. Hostel gates closes at 6:30PM everyday. The location is quite unsafe to roam around night.
