Likes

It is a very easy going college, the staff is does not worry us much
The overall atmosphere of the college is very lowkey

Dislikes

The teaching staff is the definition of typical government employees they never want to take lectures or even visit class
The management skills of the college really need work and better planning of exams should be done
No extra curricular acitivites are conduted in college even with the low placement rate the college does not take steps to increase the placements

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very relevant the exam pattern os also great but they are changing the scheme of exam. The curriculum is mostly theory based and no actual practical knowledge is gained. There are 2 exams in ecery semester mid sem and end sem The mid sem is of 30 marks and ends sem of 60 marks and 10 marks are assigned by the favulty members

Placement Experience

I am currently in my final year we were eligible for campus placment in the 7th semester, students with no backlog and cgpa of 7.8 or higher were eligible There were nearly 10 companies who visted campus for recruitment and nearly 15 students have been placed with an average package of 5 LPA. Highest package being 6 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 45000 fees for every year I am a female and from NT category, OBC also has the same fees structure the fees for open category is around 85000 there are many scholarships available that have to applied to externally

Campus Life

Zenith is the annual gathering function held in fhe college there are also sports events held under zenith . There is huge library in the college which is accessible and provides a very wide range of books There are different clubs for sports and curriculum acitivies

Hostel Facilities

I opted for a private hostel outside of campus but the hostel inside campus is better you can make friends amd the accomadation is cheaper and better I rented a room in my final year which is also a good option my room was in the kathora naka area

Hostel Fee: INR 78000 per year

Admission

I applied to colleges such as VJTI- mumbai VIT-pune, MIT-pune, VIIT-pune but i was not accepted in any of these colleges as they did not have a reservation for my category in the post diploma admission quota I applied to GCOEA in the second cap round my diploma percentage were 86 and my NT category reservation helped in securing me a seat

Faculty

All the staff of information Technology department is a Phd holders. Highly experienced and intelligent Staff, but the lectures are not held everday if a subject has been assigened qith 20 lectures per semester only 5 atmost of those lectures are conduted

Night Life

No Night life amravati is a very conservative amd boring city there is nothing to do in whole city let alone around campus Amd If you opt for hostel it has the closing time of 7pm you cannot go out after that time.

Life of a mech_engineer at VJTI

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

i got 97.43percentile in MHT CET i have more college options in other locations like pune,Mumbai,sangli etc Other Colleges like coep,pict,etc are very good but i get the lower branch in top instute. Mht-Cet is the entrance exam through which we can get admission in this college. The cut-off is different for various categories.For CSE branch the cut-off of OBC students is 96%tile and for OPEN it is upto 97- 98%tile. Pros and cons of GCOEA

For taking admission in the Government Colleges of Maharashtra every student should have to give the MHTCET exam which are Conducted after 12 Board exmination . Students should have give MHTCET Exam in PCM (Physiscs, Chemistery,Maths) group. I have found application form in MHTCET website, where all details were given. As i am belong to Reserve Category and with additional and my father was Ex- Army person, which made my increase my chances to take admission in Government college .
