Course Curriculum Overview

The course is mostly alligned to communication and is very close to that of electronics and communication course. Telecommunication based subjects are taken up in the final year. The labs and theoretical subjects help you to be industry ready Mini projects and major projects are a part of currciulum which helps you give hands on experiment. Internals are retty scoring since ther are taken at regular intervals with very short syllabus, and helps you prepare for sem end without much effort.

The yearly fees is around 1lac,20k through kcet and 2lacs+ through comedk. If you are trying for a management seat . the fees for telecommunication can go upto 3 lacs+. Students coming from defence background can avail scholarships through SSP portals for upto 60,000 per year.

The college hosts two fests each year.. Vibrations and Furore. Vibrations is an intracollege fest whereas Furore is an inter college fest. They are mostly organised in nov-dec or august . Technical events and other fun events happen throughout the year that are hosted by various departments independently. The library is a hub to all technology and field related books and journals. There is a digitl library too, which helps students use PC for online access to resources. The library also has independent study rooms for students to do self study. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and white boards which are used by facultes to assist their teaching. The CPA (centre for perfroming arts) is the independent body of DSCE which organises and hosts all the co curricular acivities mainly related to cultural events. There are various clubs related to all domains which students can join. The teams participate in regional as wel as national events and have also recorded many awards in their name. Clubs are from all domains like music, theatre, dance, literature, etc. Groups like IEDC for enterpreneurship and mudita for social service are also active.

Admission

I had applied to all the top notch engineering colleges of bangalore such as RV college of engeering. PES institute of techology, BMSCE, BNMIT and many others. I got a confirmed seat in DSCE in the electronics and telecom department in the first round of kcet seat allotment which i accepted. My rank in KCET was around 26k due to which i could land up in dsce an not other top colleges. If i would've waited for second or third round of kcet allotment rounds i could've got into better colleges like BMSCE or any other in same department.

Faculty

Faculty to student ration is oretty good. Thefaculties are available until the college hours .i.e 9am-6pm(max). Some of the best faculties in the department includes Dr. Iffath fawad, Dr.Pushpa BR and many others. All the faculties hold good reputation and have a very impressive education background. 3 internal exams are conducted every semester folowed by a semester ending exam. The course curriculum is very close to that of VTU.

No , the admission was completely done through KCET. students were ony required to submit the required documents and join the respective departments. KCET preparation was totally based on 11-12th cbse syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum seems to be a little outdated as we were following the VTU syllabus. But since 2024, our college has become an Autonomous College and since then, most of the outdated syllabuses were replaced with newer, required contents. And we have exams regularly, every month. This helps us alot in preparing for our final exams.
