The college hosts two fests each year.. Vibrations and Furore. Vibrations is an intracollege fest whereas Furore is an inter college fest. They are mostly organised in nov-dec or august . Technical events and other fun events happen throughout the year that are hosted by various departments independently. The library is a hub to all technology and field related books and journals. There is a digitl library too, which helps students use PC for online access to resources. The library also has independent study rooms for students to do self study. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and white boards which are used by facultes to assist their teaching. The CPA (centre for perfroming arts) is the independent body of DSCE which organises and hosts all the co curricular acivities mainly related to cultural events. Clubs are from all domains like music, theatre, dance, literature, etc. Groups like IEDC for enterpreneurship and mudita for social service are also active.

Admission

I had applied to all the top notch engineering colleges of bangalore such as RV college of engeering. PES institute of techology, BMSCE, BNMIT and many others. I got a confirmed seat in DSCE in the electronics and telecom department in the first round of kcet seat allotment which i accepted. My rank in KCET was around 26k due to which i could land up in dsce an not other top colleges. If i would've waited for second or third round of kcet allotment rounds i could've got into better colleges like BMSCE or any other in same department.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
