Students perspective on campus life

My course that is remote sensing and GIS applications is most demanding and challenging course now a days and the activities and lab conducted by department prepares student well to create knowledge in gis and handy with various gis software like qgis arc gis and many more.

Aligarh Muslim University is India's first centre of islamic and Western higher education which provide various internship opportunities. Training and placement cell of aligarh Muslim University work closely with a diverse network of companies and organisations to bring exciting internship and job opportunities to students.

Campus placement is available of all the cources and students can apply for placement after first year. Many companies visited like travclan, silverskills TAB group and many other famous companies for hiring eligible candidates. Average package as per company is 4 lakh per year. After doing this course I want to pursue phd in remote sensing.

The first year fees of my course is 13500 rupees and in next year I have to submit 6600 rupees other than this I have to submit my hostel fees with 1500 per month. I have to travel daily from hostel to department by auto of which 600 per month I have to given. The fees structure of all the category whether it is general or reserved category. Reserved category get the benefits only in entrance exam not in the fees. I don't get any scholarship from my university as I thought my father has enough money to avail my study so that this scholarship money will be benefited to other needy students.

Aligarh Muslim University has a general education centre that organizes many annual and technical festivals including literary club, the hindustani and western club and the hobbies workshop. The Maulana Azad library at aligarh Muslim University has a wide range of books and other resources and it is accessible to all the students. There are many sports like cricket, hockey, basketball, volleyball and many indoor games are offered by aligarh Muslim University.

Mostly all the facilities are provided by the hostels in Aligarh Muslim University like filtered drinking water, gyser, clean washrooms and maintained room with cupboard and table chair. The quality of meal is good and with different menu in each day. Every hostel is available at cheaper rate and it is available to all the students.

I never applied any other college or university than Aligarh Muslim University. I cleared entrance exam in my first attempt to get admission in this university. To get admission in this university you have to clear an entrance exam of the courses you want to take admission. Questions level is good and there is a very tough competition because it is taken by the students all over India.

The faculty members are very friendly and their way of teaching is also good and ratio of faculty to students is also good. All the faculty members is good but Rizwan sir I like the most because of his friendly nature and teaching style. There is semester system in which there are total 4 semester in two year. And the exam level is good.

There are separate gym, canteen, and library of each department and hostels. There are approximately 19 halls of residence for students with 80 hostels. And the outing timing of these hostel is before 6 pm.
