Course Curriculum Overview

4

the course curriculum is kind off up to date and they try to introduce new teaching methods and try to stay relevant. the course also helps in preparing you for the real world because they introduce us with new teaching system but they can improve their course curriculum by introducing more practial learning and not just by focusing on books. The exam system was based on internal and external exam system.

Placement Experience

3

The placement percentage is kind off good like they say it is pretty high as compared to other colleges. students become eligible for placements after or during 6h semeter. the highest package can go upto 1 crore and the average package lies between 4 to 5lpa. mostly 60-70 percent students get placed and those who don't they can try off campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is yearly so it's like: 1st year- 140000 rupees 2nd year- 115000 rupees 3rd year- 140000 rupees 4the year- 115000 rupees There's no scholarship system You can pay the fees via NEFT to the college name

Campus Life

4

The overall experience is okaish like our college did not conduct a lot of technical or social events but it was quite enough for us. The college has different extracarricular activities so students can choose according to heir interest. Their is a social group where society heads and teachers co-ordinate for events and other stuff.

Admission

I chose this college because it is one of the best colleges in IPU. I applied to other colleges of ipu like bpit and all. I even got selected in other colleges like BPIT but the course was not according to my interest. The admission process is like the ipu conduct an enterance examination and the they select the students on the basis of their rank and the cutoff can be high and mid too. It basically depends on the category a student is from like general, sc,st, etc.

Faculty

4

the faculty to student ratio was good and there never was any kind of shortage of faculty. Student and faculty relationship is so good that they will guide you in everything and help you out whenever you will ask for help. I personaly liked the college society faculty because the teachers were very co-operative and they used to guide us through every sitaution like how can we manage studies and extra caricullar activities together and not just that they used to give us the knowledge about the life after college. The lab faculty was personally not my favourite like they did not guide us properly about the experiments and all things and then they expected us that we will somehow do the experiments with perfection in one go. There wers 6 to 7 subjects per semester and 5 of them were main subjects and rest we had to give practicals or do some projects instead of the examination.

Night Life

4

their are different cafes in different areas of college and also there is a gym in my college and library is very massive. The hostel area is in college itself. The famous hangout places are Amul cafe and mescafe and stand and also the cafeteria. The college gets over after 5 or 6 pm.

I choosed this course not on the basis of curriculum but on the basis of outcomes. Curriculum is old and not real world based, professors also have limited knowledge. Course Curriculum should be made more advanced and professors should be trained well.

The company that visits are quite good like facebook , google, EPIC(US), samsung, texas instrument,Goldman sachs, JP Morgan etc. According to 2022 from my knowledge , the highest package was 1.06 cr/annum and average of the college was 18 lacs/annum. 80% and above in btech got placed in this year. I am first planning to try for placement or will get into some kind of startups with the college peers. And side by side will try to get into a IIM for further MBA degree.
