Course Curriculum Overview

4

BHU is a traditional University in focuses more on academics rather than extra curricular activities. Yes there are extra curricular activities but the primary focus is on academics so the professors are well worst and the teach very detail about every subject of law. The placements hair are also decide but if you need to do internships the college will not help you much for doing internship as college will not provide concessions in attendance so you have to lose your attendance in order to get good internship.

Internships Opportunities

4

See there is an internship and placement cell in BHU which helps you to get decent internships it gives you internship in different law forms around the country but I would prefer to go to internship through your connections but it's totally depends up on you that where you want to do internship.

Placement Experience

4

Placements in my college is decent as last year three companies that is Tata TCS, Adani power and zedroit and other law firms came to higher law graduates. The highest package was offered by TaTa TCS which was 13 lakhs per annum and the average package of BHU is around 6 lacs.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fees I am paying for my BALLB course in BHU is ?62000/- per year. But the revised course fees is ?72000/- per year. The fees for hostel is 6000/- per year and the mess fees is around 4500/- monthly. Also there is a students welfare fees of ?200/- per year.

Campus Life

4

The campus life at BHU is good because there are many clubs and societies like poetry club drama club dance club acting club mod code society debs of that is debating society photography society and other things in BHU in different departments there are different clubs like we have a debating club and music club also so one gets a very good environment to develop his skills and his personality also there are clouds education clubs like judiciary club and I love where UPSC aspirants study together.

Admission

I choose this college because it is a Central University and as you know a Central University has more value as compared to other private University so because of the brand value of BHU I choose the law course of BA LLB in BHU. However comparing to other universities like the private University in which I previously study is like the Lloyd law college in Noida the main difference between the two is about academic and extra curricular activities where bhu focuses on academics private University focus more on extra curricular activities and they give time for internship and moot courts etc. so this is the main difference between private and a Central University I choose BHU because it has brand value and since I wanted to go for judiciary I choose BHU.

Faculty

5

The best thing about the college is the faculty members the faculty members are very experienced and they have immense knowledge about every law field there are many professors who have PhD from foreign universities to and they go to foreign universities as guest lecturers. The faculty to student ratio is also amazing as in my class there are 92 students and there are 6 subjects and 6 subjects are taught by 8 professors. In every semester we have a mid semester exam of 30 marks which is divided in 20 and 10 20 marks for written exam and 10 marks is for presentation or assignment after not talking about in our semester exams or semester exam is of 70 marks.

Night Life

4

The night life in my college BHU is also good since in Banaras there are many ghats like 80 Ghat and other Chet Singh Ghat so night life is not like other big cities like Delhi Bangalore Mumbai Chennai but the nightlife of Banaras is very different Banaras is a small city so there are no clubs and pubs there are ghats ghats are also crowded till late night because in the recent time Banaras has got too much popular through social media but one can have a good time and memory at assi Ghat because assi Ghat is very close to bhue and BHU students prefer to go to assi Ghat only.

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

Placement Experience:

Packages aren't as good or big as NLUs as 4-5 lakhs is median and just 25% students gets placements from University. Most students though go for litigation and I am also going to do the same as this is how I want to build my career and take it forward. Even LLM is also an option and GLA University is the one from where I will do, if I plan to do masters.

Placement Experience:

In BA. LL.B. especially students are elidgible from 5th year i.e. 9TH semester for college placements, the college has a 99 % placement rate which is very impressive and students are given a vast number of choices among the companies. The companies which recruit are usually top tier like Mahindra, Wipro etc. The highest ever package in our college is 50 LPA. I am planning to do corporate law after the completion of my degree for which the college also has a corporate resource department.

As I'm studying BALLB and the teaching method in our college is pretty nice as they conduct field visits, courts visits and also invites different personalities who Excel in the law field that helps us to understand how the real world works in this field and I really thinks that this college should more focus on their class overall timings sometimes they got really lengthy every year our university conduct 2 exams separately for every semester. and the difficulty level depends on the students preps

Placement Experience:

Yes they do provide campus placement last year only almost 70 students were offered jobs in campus placement. But in our case most of the students have their own plans like the majority of them are generational lawyers so either they'll join their firms or they have very good contacts so they'll get places easily but in my case as a first generation lawyer we do get internship or assessment internship in which we get very good chances to get PPO they we don't have to relay on college for campus placement. In my case if i didn't get campus placement then wherever I've done my internship I'll try to convert my internship into a PPO
