A comprehensive review of Dr. DY Patil law college's curriculum and padagogical gaps

The betterment of curriculum for the betterment of students can be done in the following way- there is a need for students to be trained on how to use various online research databases and incorporate practical learning by organising various interactions in regular class sessions to enhance skill based learning.

there is no campus placements in the college as such. But our college has recenly stated working on placements and traning cell. It offered palcement to one of our ex-students. I am working on my resume but enganing myself in various internships so that ill be placed off campus after my graduation.

As the Colleges is aided by the Government of Maharashtra the fees is very minimal and is least likely to increase. There is a diffreent fees structure for Maharashtra and Other than Mahashtra State's Candidates. first two years the fees is 40000/- per annum. And canditates from Maharashtra state have to pay 21000/- annually. The course fees is same for all students from third year i.e. 21000/- per annum. Various kinds of Scholarships are offerred to Maharashtra Candidates as per the state government norms.

There are various student run clubs active in the college these are Legal Aid Cell, Placement and Training Cell, NSS Cell. Thre are various fests and competitions organised tragetting skill development in students. There is a small library which has the capacity of maximum 15 students and the books are of very old edition. However, the classrooms have integrated digital boards and projecters.

having appreaed in many law entrances like CLAT, AILET and MHCET and other private law colleges like christ and symbiosis. My admission got confirmed in christ and symbiosis but didn't opt got Christ as it is located remotely from the whole city and has no connectivity. I had to drop symbiosis as i was waiting for the result of MHCET. The crurial factor that differentiates Dr. D.Y. Patil from other coleges is - it is aided by the Government of Maharashtra and its affiliation to Pune University makes it affordable and famous throughout the country.

The curriculum is a bit irreleavt for students aspiring for an integrated law course. It defeats the objective of integrated course as Pune University's course scructure is as follows: for the first two years there are only four subjects i.e. English, Political Science, Sociology, and Economics. And then from the third year the no. of subjects increases from four to five and all of these are subjects pertaining to various laws which were to be taught from the first year itself. Regardless of the curriculum the faculty is very helpful and supporting , they are very approachable as a personal mentor to each and every studenst and encourages students to particiapte in various competitions and is readily available to help students in all maters regardless of studies.

The city is safe at night and so is the area around the college, the college closes at 6.00 pm and hostel closes at 9.00 pm. there are various students living in PG's and rented apartments within the college radius. these PG's and apartments are very tight in security. the location of college has a prime connectivity throughout the city to explore various famous and historical places and malls.
