Course Curriculum Overview

3

This course offers a variety of real world applications, chemistry students can go towards the pharmaceutical business and biotechnology students cam further move into the research field as it has a really good scope recently. The timings of the exams are the one which students dislike the most.

Internships Opportunities

3

One of the companies that came to out college is the johnsons company and offered internships also. During the 6th semester every student must do a project according to their subject, as it is mandatory for everyone

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for campus placements in the 6th semester. Mostly 50% of the students gets placement from this college and the average package is 300000. My plans after thos degree is to pursue masters in a different college and different field

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee for which i am pursuing right now that is Bsc biotechnology and chemistry starts from 90000 for first year and then its 65000 for the next two years including every category like admission fee, tuition fee, registration fee, lab fee, development fee and others for every caste including SC or ST.

Campus Life

4

The events here are good as till now. The most waited events herw are the ethnic day and college day and kannada rajyotsava. Other events are also very good. The clubs in this college are very helpful and very active, you get to be busy being in these clubs and there are many good things to do joining in these clubs

Admission

I applied for this college itself and got the admission right after. I chose this college because i reached out to my friends about this college and got to know the academics progress. As per the admission process for this course is you must have at least 75% scored in your 12th grade for you to take admission here.

Faculty

4

The faculty here in this college is very friendly to be honest. They are really very helpful when it comes to eother academics or any programs also. Students never gets scared to approach them, they are supportive. And there will be conducted two internals for one semester and the exams are also quite easy, the teachings are also very understandable.

Night Life

4

The college will be closed at 6:00 pm, but the other few places in campus like the medical hospital and the nearby area will he open, and everyone are allowed there. The campus is so peaceful inside during the night time and evening times and it is a safe area around the campus

Now the syllabus has changed. New emerging technologies trends and subjects are introduced in new curriculum. Data science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security are now taught. Practical marks are reduced to 50 marks. Term end examinations are conducted twice in a year. Exams are not that difficult. Usually previous year questions appear in the exams.

At St Aloysius University, students typically become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onward. Reputed companies like Infosys, wipro, TCS etc have visited the campus offering multiple roles in IT services, research and analytics. The highest package has been around 7-8 LPA while the average has been around 3-4 LPA depending on the company and the profile of the student. Around 60-70% of eligible students secure placement each year

REVA University, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Biotechnology)
Reviewed on Jul 4, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.

The placement scene in this college is promising, especially for students pursuing B.Sc and M.Sc programs. it has a dedicated placement and training cell that actively prepares students for the recruitment process by mock interviews. students become eligible for placements in final year. the top recruiting companies includde infosys, wipro, cognizant etc. On an average 50 to 60% of eligible students get placed with the remaining either pursuing higher education or looking for opportunities in civil service or elsewhere. My plans after my graduation is to pursue masters in forensic science in NFSU and then to work in the FSLs

Remarks:

Positive remarks: • The senior, junior, classmates are very helpful and cooperative. • The professors are also very helpful and concerned about our studies. Negative remarks: The authority is not so helpful. They take many steps against the students' sake and this is the main cause for decreasing the college's overall performance.
