Course Curriculum Overview

4

Being in horticultre stream, I find the curriculum to be well made according to the stream. It covers about all aspects that can be related to horticulture. But it only lacks a little in term of innovative or creative aspect like a.i, business studies, etc. which should be included as the world around us is now mordenizing and getting competitive very rapidly. The teaching here is good but i think we should also be introduced to problems at ground level through more research and field orieneted studies. The frequency and timing of exams is well prepared to keep the students revise the topics over and over again and also to keep them busy in studies.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship is included in the course curriculum and is compulsory for every student. In the final year we have to do 1 month mandatory internship. Companies like Dhenuka group, etc provide internship to the students. I am still in 3rd year. So I don't know much about the role offered in companies and projects, etc. I have not done my internship yet. So I can not rate the experience right now.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee is rs. 17760, but fee is taken per semester basis, i.e. rs. 8880 per semester. It includes tution fees. During admission 10,000 caution money was taken which will be returned later. We have to pay for electricity, that is about 300 rs. per month. Hostel charge is a very minimal 400 rs. per year. We also have to pay the mess fee of 2600 rs. per month. Every student of my batch has to pay this irrespective of category. We get a scholarship of Rs.3000 per month which is provided by central govt. under NTS scheme. But to get the scholarship students have to maintain above 7 cgpa in each sem while passing all the subjects. But for sc and st catgory student the cgpa requirement for NTS is 6.5.

Campus Life

4

Campus life here is good. We have some functions like Rani Lakshim Bai's birthday, Foundation day, etc. We also celebrate many occasions with competitions and cultural activities. The libarary here provides wide range of books and journals related to the subjects of our curriculum as well as some story books, novels, etc. The campus has good wifi connection. We have smart class rooms with ac. The sports and extracurricular activities are still less organised here as many people are not so interested in it. We have many clubs like cultural club, sports club, literary club, etc. under which students organize many activites. These clubs help in our overall development like increase our work efficiency, develop personality and team working skills, etc

Hostel Facilities

4

We have lights, fan, cooler, bed, study table and chair, cupboards in the room. The bathroom is common and equipped with geyser. We get 24×7 wifi with good speed. We are not allowed to keep appliances like induction and all. We are provided food in the mess. The menu changes each day and food is provided according to the menu. Meal quality is ok, just like any hostel food. Food of home is always best. So liking mess food has always difficult for any hosteller, but what can we do. By the way mess has a tv also which is accessible to the students. So we can enjoy tv also. Hostel fees is very minimal and hostel room is provided at the time of admission.

Admission

My college is part of a central university which gives more exposure to all parts of the country. My university also comes under the category of university of national importance, which is beneficial in many aspects. I opted for it when I was counselling after ICAR exam. Though I could not get the agriculture stream in this university as the cut off was high for it, but I got horticultre stream. The students are admitted in our college only by CUET exam as ICAR exam is merged with it now. But I got admitted through ICAR exam.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is good. The teaching faculties are friendly and helpful. We can easily approach them regarding our problems. For me all faculties are nice here. We have 2 semesters per year. Each semester has 4 exams. 2 quizes of 10 marks each, one mid term exam of 30 marks theory and one end term exam which includes 100 marks of theroy and 100 marks of practical for ech subject. Exam papers are well made and very less number of students fail them.

Night Life

4

We do have both indoor and outdoor gyms which are open througout the day. There is one amul parlour where people enjoy good and tea, etc. There is also a grocery shop in campus for essentials. Our class timing is form 10 am yo 5 pam. The girls hostel closes at 7:30 pm and boys hostel at 10 pm. Library is accessible till 7 pm. Inside the campus there are many fields and forestry plantations which area is good for evening walk or roaming around. The campus is clean and calm. Outside the campus there are places like Jhansi fort, space museum, Jhansi market, Orchha, etc which are good places for roaming and hanging out. The locality seems safe as far as i have experienced, as I or my friends have not faced any safety problems at night till now .

Placement Experience:

The placements for the B.Sc Agriculture course at Invertis University are growing but may not be very high compared to technical courses. Some companies visit the campus for agriculture-related roles such as agri-input companies, seed companies, fertilizer companies, and marketing positions. Students with good communication and technical knowledge usually get good opportunities. However, not every student may get a direct campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Students get placed in starting of 4th year that is 7th semester. The companies that often visit are pradhan co.pvt.ltd, seed companies and drone companies also companies like Nestle and britannia visit for placements. Highest ctc in 2025 was 19LPA and the avg was 7.5 LPA these data are also available on nirf site. Nearly 30% students get placed because remaining prefer higher studies over placement, those who are financially weak consider placement. My plans are different, I'm preparing for CAT and want to persue mba in agribusiness management from iim ahmedabad or iim lucknow.
