Likes

Affordable education is the main thing i liked in this college. the fee structure is economical including quality eductaion accessible to all.
The campus environment is peaceful, promoting a good atmosphere for studies.
The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive

Dislikes

Infrastructure could be improved especially lab facilities.
Placement opportunities are limited and the college could enhance it's industry connections.
extracurricular activities are less, wide range of cultural and technical events would enrich campus life.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is relevant and practical, rated 6/10 covering core subjects like power systems, machines,renewable energy etc. Two internal exams are conducted per semester and one end semester exam is moderately challenging.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

At govt engineering college the fee structure is affordable, especially for a govt institution. The semester fee is usually below 10000 for the general category including tuition, lab and other fees. For SC/ST students the fee is waived they have fees lower than the other categories. fcholarships include merit cum scholarship, post matric, e grantz, central sector scheme etc.

Campus Life

My overall experience with Government engineering college palakkad is has been enriching, offering a good balance of academics and social interactions. The library offers a good range of books and online resources. Sports facilities supports football, basketball, badminton and more.Students run clubs like IEEE. IEDC, NSS etc.

Admission

I chose govt engineering college palakkad for it's affordability , strong academic reputation, and proximity to home which made practical choise for me. Compared to other private colleges it offers lower fees and a good curriculum. admission : Eligibilty: 10 and 12 with PCM and keam rank

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:15 ensuring personalized attention to students. Most faculty memebers are approchable and supportive, and willing to help with academics and project related queries.

Night Life

The night life around gec palakkad is quiet, with limitted late night activities.The campus canteen is a popular spot for students to relax, chat and grab a bite but it typically closes by 8 PM.The campus gym is open until 8 Pm.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.
