Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is very difficult and hard to memorize . Posting in two different hospitals during our academic year helps us to get exposure to varieties of cases . Improvement needed in the area of practical examination.

Internships Opportunities

Internship facilities with stipend is available in our college . Internship in three different hospitals which includes National Homoeopathic Research Institute in Mental Health , college hospital , government homoeopathic hospital .

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearwise fees 1260 Rupees .Tution fees , caution fees , registration fees , admission fees , development fees , lab fees , library fees, parents and teachers association fees , and the other compulsory charges during course completion is approximately 5000 rupees .

Campus Life

In our college we have College day , union day , arts fest , sports days , various activities of national service scheme , program conducted by various club , food fest and film fest . Every year we publish college magazine .

Hostel Facilities

A special study room is available for students in our hostel . Clean water available in our hostel . Clean and healthy food is available in hostel . A wide and clean mess hall is available in our hostel .

Hostel Fee: INR 3600 per year

Admission

Admission process is through NEET and KEAM examination . Candidates get selected in our college through KEAM ranklist . In kerala there are five homoeopathic medical Colleges . I preferred this college because it is the first homoeopathic medical College in kerala .

Faculty

Faculty to student relationship are good and approachable . The faculty I like most is Dr.Arun B Nair . Total exams per year includes two internal examinations , one model examination , and one university examination .

Night Life

No gym facilities . No cafeterias available . Library is available but it closes after five pm . There is hostel facility available for girls . No facilities available for boys . Locality is safe to roam around at night

Not bad

Likes

Ratio of girls is more when compared to boys like 4:1
Academics is very good. Every year there will be a university rank holder from the college
Teaching methods are good include verbal and smart teaching systems

Dislikes

Infrastructure is soo old. Should fo the maintanence regularly
Lack of primary facilities like good washrooms and resting areas. These are lacking because the hostel is very near to the college but it is uncomfortable for day scholars.
Functions and entertainments are lacking other than those conducted by college unions. Management is very strict.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our academics is most similar to that of MBBS system. First year - Anatomy, physiology, pharmacy Second year- Organon, Materia medica, Pathology, microbiology, Forensic Third year- organon, materia medica, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology From second year onwards clinical postings are there which includes our hospital posting, 10 days postmartem posting under forensic department, 1 month surgery and obg posting, 1 week general hospital posting. OSCE system is now practiced. The frequency and timings of examinations are proper. But we have 1 and half year duration in final year which creates a lag in conducting examinations and there is a lot to study.

Journey of experiences

Likes

i was able to experience a new course which was very defferent from allopathy
i get to know lot of people from deffernt states and places
Teaching methods and works made us improve as a doctor and an independent student

Dislikes

infractstructure and other facilities available for the students is very bad
There is discrimination among students based on caste between teachers. Tecahers are always fault finding and blame students for things they hav done wrong.
Their is no voice for students. Teachers are controlling the whole campus. They order us things andd if don't obey them, they wilk cut short our attendance.will

Course Curriculum Overview:

i have choosed this course because i got only 414 marks in neet, so i got selected in this course. For this college there is nearby homeo hospital so practices are done there. Teaching methods are good. Teachers are very strict. There are total of 4 exam with 3 months gap each there is 2 internal exam and one model exam. The final exam is university which at the end of the respective year. Model exam is toughest of all.

I likes my teachers. That is very helpful.
Campus also is very good. We have best instrument.
We have always participated in any festival .

Dislikes

Our college infrastructure not so good but this is average
I dislike thier food because we north indian and college located south india
There is no hostel from college we have love at out side

My dream college in reality.

I got this college based on my marks and rank obtained in the NEET UG entrance exam. You can apply for as many as colleges you like across the country but you'll get according to your rank. The cutoff marks each year depends on the toughness of the exam and the number of seats in mbbs is also increasing yearly. You can't get admission into a medical college in India without writing NEET entrance exam . I've applied to many other colleges also but I was not eligible according to my rank.
