Remarks
As far as I am concerned I have a great experience in my college during my course. The management and Administrative Officers are best for us. Our Principal was great personality and helped us in many occasions.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is five and a half month duration including one year mandatory internship. Clinical and preclinical subjects are there. There were medical visits in different states of India including Delhi in each year. Actually It is medical college and once you are graduated you won't be worrying about the placements. You are lifelong placed as a medical doctor
Placement Experience
It's a medical college and once you are graduated you won't be worrying about the placements. Once you are a doctor you are life long placed. The college gives one year mandatory internship in the Hospital attached to the college located in the premices of the campus. Also college provides postings in various institutions outside the campus which is highly beneficial to students.
College Events
We have yearly festivals in college. Arts festival, sports festival, Onam celebration, Christmas Celebration, Eid Celebration, Easter Celebration, New Year Celebration. College Day Celebration. Also the college is participating Zonal and Interzonal University Festivals and grabed Titles many times. And College hosted Inter Homoeo Collegiate Cultural Festivals.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Actually the college is Government Aided College and the fee structure is comparatively feasible. We have to pay INR 2000 per year as academic fee. Also we have to pay Parents and Teachers Association fee of INR 1000 yearly. All fees must be paid in cash and the authorities are planning to change the mode of payment into E pay.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't opted for a scholarship because the fee structure here is feasible and I managed it myself.
Campus Life
The campus life was so thrilling. The gender ratio was a big fun because in my batch there were 46 males and 4 females. But we all were same as a citizen and valued the gender equality. We stood in hand with citizen rights and equality. Here in Kerala professional colleges are devoid of campus politics but we were having students associations without politics.
Hostel Facilities
Actually our college has no hostel for Male students. Because most of the students are females. We were living in house rent throughout the course period. We spent INR 1500 per each student monthly for house rent. Also INR 2000 per month for food.
Alumni/Alumna
We have an Alumni association in our college which is very strong in helping the college in various ways. It gives financial support wherever necessary. Also conducting many programs helpful for the students.
Admission
I wished to be a doctor in my life. I prepared for the state medical entrance examination. I got a rank ranging that I could opt for BHMS degree. And I gave preference to Dr. Padiar Memorial Homoeopathic Medical College. Because this college is a premier institute in the field of Homoeopathy and has academic and extracurricular activities in a better range. And also the college is located in Kochi, the queen of Arabian sea. Admission procedure was under Kerala Medical entrance examination department.
Faculty
The faculty is decided by the board of trustees here it is the Kashi Madathipathi His Highness Sri Samyameendra Swamiji. The faculty must be a post graduate and must have skills of teaching and clinical excellence. We got 4 hrs lectures daily and two hrs clinical exposure. The teaching faculties are regularly in connection with students and they give best clinical and preclinical advices.
