Course Curriculum Overview

3

i have choosed this course because i got only 414 marks in neet, so i got selected in this course. For this college there is nearby homeo hospital so practices are done there. Teaching methods are good. Teachers are very strict. There are total of 4 exam with 3 months gap each there is 2 internal exam and one model exam. The final exam is university which at the end of the respective year. Model exam is toughest of all.

Internships Opportunities

2

Intership are provided by this college after 4.5 yrs after the course for half an year. After that we can opt for pg courses. Defferent categories are available as options. During internship a stipend of 20000 is provided but there are delays sometimes for 3 months. There are lot of projects which are so expensive, which are taken from students money.

Fees and Financial Aid

yearly tution fees is 2500 it get increases on each year by 100.Admission fee of rs. 25000 was there and it is compulsory. Books and coat and other accesory have other seperate charges. Management seats are available. Scholarships available is egrantz from it we will get rs. 6000, their is no other scholarship other than this except for sc, st category students.

Campus Life

3

Overall campus life was okay. We come across many students from defferent places, states and culture. There are lot of programmes conducted whuch maybe between colleges or within college or between university.College programmes and festivals are conducted by respective students union. Infrastructure of college and campus is very poor. There is no facility for books or refference. Sports and activities are available for students. Defferent clubs are present, each student can prefer which their own clubs.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel facility is very poor. There is no facility like wifi,tv and the bathrooms are common. Each room have 4 members and rooms are very small. There are 4 beds and 4 tables and chairs. Meals and menu are very bad. Registration fee of rs. 2500 and it increases every year and monthly fee of rs. 4500.Rent homes and rooms are available nearby but because of strict schedule majority prefer hostel rather than rented homes.

Admission

I didn't choosed by myself. Selections are through Kerala rank so based on that i git this college.I was choosed on this college. After getting selected we with our parents should visit the college with the documents that was necessary for admussion and there was admission fee of rs. 25000 and tution fee of rs. 2250.A students should hav min of 350 score in neet and the kerala rank should be within 12000 to get admission for this course.

Faculty

2

There are defferent facultues which include organon, materia medica, obg, surgery, pharmacy, anatomy, physiology.Teachers and staffs are more than students. The best faculty and what i liked the most is anatomy. They are very helpful in everyways for students. In a year there are total of four exam, two internal, one model exam and lastly the main university exam. Exams are tough, each students need to score 50 marks in internal or model and should have 80% attendance for writing university exam. About 20 or more fails per year but will get passed during supplimentry exam.

Night Life

1

This college is located in a rural areas so hangout spots and shops are very rare. Girls are on hostels so going out at night is not allowed. We should get into college within 6:30 pm. College starts at 8:30 am and ends at 3:30 evening. Locality surrounding hostel is safe, but not safe at night for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our academics is most similar to that of MBBS system. First year - Anatomy, physiology, pharmacy Second year- Organon, Materia medica, Pathology, microbiology, Forensic Third year- organon, materia medica, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology From second year onwards clinical postings are there which includes our hospital posting, 10 days postmartem posting under forensic department, 1 month surgery and obg posting, 1 week general hospital posting. OSCE system is now practiced. The frequency and timings of examinations are proper. But we have 1 and half year duration in final year which creates a lag in conducting examinations and there is a lot to study.
