Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum is a mixture of BA and LLB courses. The B.A. courses include courses that are specifically designed in consideration with the law. On the other hand, LLB courses include Mandatory and Elective courses. The Mandatory courses are basic legal courses that are essential for clearing up the legal basics. These are designed in a very relevant manner. On the other hand, the elective courses are specialised courses to cater to the needs of the industry. The exams happen twice a year, and are generally convenient to pass them.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition Fee: 1,55,000 Other Academic Charges: 15,000 User Charges (Includes Hostel): 67,000 Mess Advance: 35,000 The fees is barely increasing with an average increase of 4,000 - 5,000 per annum. It is same for people from all categories. The college provides for multiple scholarships. These Scholarships are merit as well as need based. A major chunk of these Scholarships are merit cum need based as these scholarships are only applicable to Students having a Annual Family Income of less than a certain number (Generally it is 8,00,000 per aannum). Further within this group scholarships are granted on merit basis. The college has a scholarship committee that takes care of the Scholarship Facilities for the students.
Campus Life
The college is very much active in cultural activities. It has a range of festivals throughout the year. The college has a list of regional festivals that keep on happening throughout the year. Along with those fests, the college also has its annual festical Carpe Diem that usually happens in April. The Library is one of the largest law library in the country. The library covers a plethora of journals and books across different disciplines. The library also provides e-library services which further contain a plethora of online services to access different legal resources. The college has a vibrant sports culture with decent facilities for different sports availible on the campus. It also has an annual Sports Fest with NLS, Bengaluru and NUJS, Kolkata
Admission
Nalsar is the third best Law College in the country according to the NIRF Rankings. It is the highest NAAC accredited law college with an accredition of A++. The college has a commendable placement record. The college takes admission through CLAT
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is essentially 1 Professor teaching a class of 80 people. The college has some incredible faculties being the master of the courses they teach. The college followes the Semester system with two semesters per year. The Grading for each semester for the Mandatory courses is divided in to: Mid Sems (25 Marks) + Project (25 Marks) + End Sems (50 Marks) = 100 Marks. Further, for electives, the grading system is entirely based on the Professor's discretion. The College follows a CGPA system on a scale of 10. The course curriculum is really relevant for the industry level training. It is designed to essentially brush up the basics in that particular law.
Night Life
The college has an active night-life being a residential campus. It is quite away from the main city. The students can be seen walking, studying in library, hanging out at the differrent food joints availible at the college during late hours. The campus is safe to roam around at night. Being away from the city, the periphery of the college campus becomes a little unsafe.
