Course Curriculum Overview

3

The 1st year course consists of Enginnering Physics ,Chemistry , Basic Electrical and Electronics engineering, Calculus , Differential Equaltion and transformation, Electromagnetic Theory , Electrical Machines. Python language in 1st sem and java in 2nd sem. I choose this course as it provide a huge knowledge of Electrican and electronics both. Semiconductor Industry might get boon in the next few years. Till now the cirricilum is going smooth and the subjects gave a clear visualisation towards succes in the selected course. In the 1st year you will get hardly 1 to 1.5 months for every exam and there always DAs and quiz between the the time so it might get hectic sometimes but you can mange easily if you handle evrything with patience

Fees and Financial Aid

VIT has it's own entrance exam called VITEEE which helds every year. The exam is of 120 marks with no negetive marking. The students who ranked under 100000 in the exam got chance to have all campus of VIT. Students ranked avove 1 lakh are only allowed to choose VIT AP and Bhopal Campus. VIT has a five category fee structure.Students under 20000 rank comes under category 1 , they can get first chance to select their branch and have comparitively lower fees. The prize goes up as you move to higher category. The top 100 students get upto 90% scholarship, then top 500 students get upto 50% scholarship. I joined in EEE branch in vellore campus in category 1 and my yearly fees is around 3.5 lakhs with hostell and mess. It rounds upto 14-16 lakhs. The hostell has 2 bed to 8 bed option rooms with AC and NON AC both and the price varies according to it. The mess has veg, non veg and special option with different cateres. The food quality varies different to diiferernt caterers and it is completely luck based to get a good caterer in 1st year though you get a chance to change the mess

Campus Life

4

The campus is very huge of 370 acres which consists of 5 main academic building and a huge no of labs situated in the buildings only. It has a 7 floored library where we can access all the books and we can study without any disturbances. There are some social places where people meer like foodies , greenos etc. There are mainly 2 cultural fest in the colleges named as Gravitas and Reviera . Gravitas is tech fest where diffrent workshops , tech hunts, hackathon takes place. While Gravitas is Cultural fest full of music fun and dance. Popular celebrities comes to perform and entertained the students. There are different clubs and chapters which provide an edge to extra curricular activities. There is VIT TBI , if some intereste in startup they can pitch there ideas and if it has good business model then they can get funding from VIT to enhance the startup.

Admission

I choose this college because I was unable to crack JEE Advance. VIT was my 2nd option. IITs and top NITs are my target from 10+2 but due to lack of concentration I could not make it. Jadavpur University was also my choise but I was getting very lower branch so I had to reject it. But after all I choose VIT over the other private institute because it gives exposure. I get to knbow a lot of people from different culture and communities. It builds my networking strong and give me a different direction to think

Faculty

4

Our College has FFCS which is Fully Flexible Credit System which starts from 2nd semester. In the first year you will be given faculties assigned by VIT. From the 2nd sem you can choose your desired faculty and time slot as well . But it work as First Come First. If your network is good and good luck then you can get your prefred teacher but if some problem occurs you might ended up in getting average teachers as well. The marks you get depends on your teacher. There is a 3 session Exam in a semester. They are CAT 1 (Continous Assesment Test) , CAT 2 , FAT (Final Assesment Test). CAT 1 and FAT is closed book while CAT 2 is open book exam. There are Digital Assesments which are to be submitted in the form of pdf. There are regular quiz which also has weightage in the tottal weightage

Night Life

2

There is actually no night life in campus. You have to enter the main gate by 7 and hostel gate by 9 pm. So there is no night life. All the enjoyments restricted insude the hostel only. There is night libreary ipen upto 12 30 and gyms and swiming pool closed by 6pm.
