Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum have 7 types of subjects in accordance with the New Education Policy. There are Major, Minor, Skill Enhancement, Ability enhancement, Multidisciplinary, Value addition 1, Value addition 2 subjects. All of these are divided with different credits. We have to attend 20 lectures a week for these subjects. It have a lot of comprehensive knowledge and practicality but lacks some trust among students because of its burdensome nature.

Internships Opportunities

4

Till now, there are no internships for us. But according to New Education Policy, there will be a compulsory Internship in the 5th semester of college curriculum. As it is the 1st year of complete adoption of NEP, things may be bugger than expected.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure have a fees of 1150 for 1st year to be paid annually. In addition, there is a seperate exam fees which is asked to be paid with submission of exam forms. After that, the cycle of exam fees repeats every semester. Same is with the Hostel fees which is paid annually. The fees varies for every faculty and course.

Campus Life

4

There are many fests and clubs in the University. The best thing about these is that everyone can take part irrespective of his/her course or faculty. There are clubs for every single thing we can think of in our college life. These clubs provide a great platform for personality development, self growth and our overall social appearance.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are many hostels in the campus, numbering to 65. As I am a resident of Lal Bahadur Shastri hostel under faculty of Arts, it have the best rooms in the campus. There are double seater rooms. In furniture, we are provided with 2 beds, 2 tables and chairs. Electric sockets are there. And we have to manage lights and bulbs on our own. Sockets for bulbs are provided. The rented rooms outside campus are respective to their price. Food menu is good but there is always minor issues with the quality of food.

Admission

The admission process starts with an exam conducted by NTA called CUET. After that the counselling process includes filling of preferences and campuses. I got the main campus and 1st preferred course based on my great CUET score. I was eager to take admission here because of its low fees and campus life. As compared to other universities in India, it have a very low fees.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are very knowledgeable, updated and experienced people. They have a long experience in the field which is good for students. They are all well behaved, calm and to the point. There are very less number of cases when there was a problem in the university because of Faculty members.

Night Life

4

BHU campus is home for the largest Library in Asia, a giant gymnasium, playgrounds with every single game facility. There are many shops around the campus. In Madhuvan park, there is a cafeteria too. And also, shops are on all gates so that students can avail them. Except for the girls hostels, there is no time boundary for entering and exiting the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have interest in psychology that's why I adapt this course. got to know so many things about psychology and which help me to know people better really help me in my day today life. But the professor need to explain more and do not give illusionary examples. Did they have to try to explain in real world scenario. The courses is difficult and the paper is so lengthy give three hours to write and the people is so many that the time is insufficient they need to give more time if they expect to fill 24 pages of answer sheet.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
