What Students Say
Likes
- The campus, clubs, teaching faculties, availability of various opportunities in my field of interests etc.
Dislikes
- A few of the faculties are not good in teaching even though they have good knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since Computer Science, AI and related courses are in demand in the present age, I decided to opt for this course. For now the course focuses on C programming language which is common in almost all other universities. The teaching faculty is not that good, they might have the knowledge of the concepts and all but the teaching is not that clear.
Internships Opportunities
DSCE offers internship opportunities for the students as early as the 3rd year of UG programs. These internships are integrated into the academic structure, with compulsory ones that focus on industry exposure which is an important thing.
Placement Experience
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is a good college for placements. The average CTC is around 6-8 lakhs with a placement ratio of 67%. Students become eligible for campus placements from their 3rd year i.e. 5th semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Year-wise fees that I will be paying Tution Fee: 76135 Academic Fees : 20000 Skill Lab Fee: 20000 VTU Fee: 10610 Exam Fee: 5500 Books and Stationery: 15000 Not getting any scholarships. Also I don't know whether the fees is increasing or not
Campus Life
DSCE has a really great campus spread over an area of 30 acres. There are various clubs in each department which allow students to upskill and improve in their field of interests. The infrastructure provided is also really great.
Admission
I had applied for various colleges in Banglore which include PES, BMS, Ramaiah etc. I got a seat for B.E. CSE in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering based on my ranking. I was aiming for AIML or CS in PES University, but due to the cutoffs I couldn't get a seat there.
Faculty
Overall all the faculties are good, approachable and clear the doubts with good explainations. The physics faculty is really great. Our mam not only focuses on the syllabus but also gives other general knowledge which is required in life.
Night Life
The night life in DSCE is quite decent. I personally haven't experienced but have heard from my friends who stay in the hostel. The hostel nights are fun and entertaining. The students in the hostel are from different cultural and religious backgrounds, so it helps each and everyone build diversity and gives exposure.
