What Students Say

Likes

New hostel blocks are good and spacious and time to time cleaning facilities are available
Lush green campus with different types of sports ground available

Dislikes

The in time for hostel is too early for both boys and girls
Outing time is very less for weekdays and weekends, it should be atleast 5 hours
Hostel rules are very strict, students are not allowed to enjoy their hostel life properly

Course Curriculum Overview

The number of exams should be less . There should be only 2 exams in each semester i.e. Mid term exams and final sem exams . As the first semester is easier than other semesters still it is hectic for students . Teaching method of some facilities are quite impressive . VITian and other apps and websites like VTOP are available which helps students.

Campus Life

There are 2 main festivals in VIT , GraVITas and Riviera . Gravitas is a tech event where different type of clubs organise their events and introduce them to freshers . Students can participate in these events , their are different types of events such as Hackathons , Competitions , Workshops and Games . Gravitas usually held in September. Other one is Riviera it usually held in February . It is a cultural and sports event .

Admission

Students qualified in VITEEE exam are eligible to take admission in VIT . Minimum 60% marks should be scored by student in 12th boards te be eligible for VIT . Students having rank under 100000 in VITEEE can apply for VIT Vellore and VIT Chennai , other students can apply for VIT Bhopal and VIT AP . Other than VITEEE I also gave JEE and CUET . I got confirm admission in UPES Dehradun.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio in college is 1:20 . Dean of Chemical Engineering is Dr. Muruganandam . Rima Biswas , Anand Gurmoorthy , Shankar Dhanushkodi are good faculties . Ashish Bhatt and Dharmendra Bal are not good enough . There are 3 exams in each semester namely CAT 1 , CAT 2 and FAT .

Night Life

There are so many cafetarias inside the college , Gym is also available for students . Library is there for students , it opens at 9 am and fill 8 pm students can be there night library facilities are also available so that student can study in library till 12:30 am . Boys have to reach their hostel before 9:15 pm and for girls it is 8:30 pm . Hangout places inside the campus are Foodies , SJT Food Court , KC Lawns and park near PRP .

Exploring SNSCT in my POV

Placement Experience:

For campus placements students of the 4th year or 7th semester are the eligible ones. Multiple companies like zoho,apple,TCS,CTS, accenture etc have come and multiple small companies too. But the intake for the big and reknown MNCs were low from abt 2-3 candidates only.the placement here is 100% but the companies may vary.My future goal is to go for a government official stream after I finish my masters abroad.

From 3rd year itself a student become eligible for campus placements and some of seniors got ino flipkart like companies. So the college is good at placement. College with good environment, teaching and placements

Placement Experience:

On doing 6th semester companys are coming for placements. But most of the companys come in the 7th semester. There is a lot of companies come here like Embedur, Honeywell,Caterpillar,Zoho,Tcs, Accenture,Hcl,Ltimindtree,Cts,etc.. Around 75-85 percentage of students got offer. The Highest package is 20lpa amd lowest is 3.36lpa. I have to go to IT company for work.

The only college i applied was VIT .i applied in DKM college just as an Last option. I was not rejected from another college as I didn't applied for any college.
